  1. Finished the front strut mount tonight and set the upper part of the intake on the engine for a visual, It may have to sit a little lower so i don't have to cut the hood. Plan on doing the motor plate tomorrow after work.
  2. Your skills just amaze me Dave, good stuff.
  3. Plastruct doesn't make those elbows in 5/32" only 3/16" which looks to big for headers to me, but with the 2 side by side i was thinking i may be able to sand the elbows down to look right with the 5/32" tube. This really making my head hurt lol. just to many darn tight bends for turbo headers.
  4. Dave, Right now my current turbo headers are 1/8", with the turbos i have i have to use 3/16" tube for the intake tubes and 7/32" tubes for the exhaust out of the turbo. The next turbo up from this might be to big.
  5. Thx. Guys, Turbo's are not out yet. Dave im gonna ordered some of those bends you are talking about, Gonna give the headers another shot. With the size of the turbo's and the Rod i need to use just doesn't look right to me.
  6. That engine is a piece of art Dave, I actually seen pictures of the engine before posted here last week, That is the best looking weld I have ever seen, I asked Dave about it also, Dave said he is sworn not to indulge the way it is done. bummer for us , but I respect that.
  7. Looks sick Tyrone, Killer stance.
  8. Not much of an update, Been busy as heck with regular work and side work. I did start on a new front suspension, My old front end the struts were to far away from the wheel and i didn't like the way it looked. I screwed up the Hubs Jim(micronitro) made for my wheels so i turned some new ones. So far i have the motor mounted to the midplate and the main part of the strut mounts made, should be able to finish it up tommarrow after work. I will eventually turn down caps for the top of where the upper strut mounts. With the blower on there almost makes me wanna go that route. I will have some updates tommarrow night. Front suspension Before: Front suspension After: This is the type of front mounts i'm going for: New wheel Hubs:
  9. Another Phoenixville guy, Where are you in Phoenixville?
  10. Just tried it and worked weird, You would think it would just be there the first time you hit it.
  11. This is great news, It is acctually on there Face book, not on the site yet. here's what it says . Thanks to you… We are keeping Slixx going! The response and support we have received from our customers has been amazing and enabled us to reconsider our decision. After careful thought and consideration we have decided to re-align our business. We have met with attorneys and business consultants and have found that our licensing would not be transferable, so as an effort to keep the Slixx brand alive we will continue producing decals at limited quantities. We have so many great contracts in place. Now thanks to your support, we will be able to release more of these great subjects in the same high quality you have become accustomed to. We are having to make changes to the business in order to keep producing our high quality decals. We will be streamlining the orders to our website and mail order, selling off existing inventory of kits, paints, Detail Master, books, and Flashpoint Resins. We will be maintaining our strong relationship with Competition Resins and continue supplying their great line of resin bodies and parts. We greatly appreciate your understanding in the changes that need to be made to allow us to carry on. Again, thank you for your support and encouragement. Gene & Becky
  12. Thx. For all the kind words guys. Bart I will PM you back after work, Jim I will be sending you a PM after work also.
  13. Little Bit lol. Little Update, Finally have one complete part. I have finished the rear wheel's, Used SMBC 1/16-1/18 tire decals then hit them with some model masters Dull coat. I'm happy with the way they turned out, My Paul Rowe 526 showed up also and is a very nice piece of work. Upon initial inspection it looks like it will go right in with out any modifications to the current frame which made me very happy, i will start mounting it tomorrow after work. I also wanna work on a different header setup and start on the lower intake.
  14. Seriously,This stuff even happens on model forums? People need to grow up. Were building model cars for crying out loud.
  15. Thx. Guys, Got a little more done. Made aluminum surround for the engine compartment, I work at a print shop so i get plenty of printing plate to use so i made the surround out of that. The side parts will sit a little higher once finished, Right now everything is just sitting there.
