  1. Here’s a little more. Again prefitting. Found some seat belts.
  2. Thank you Tim. Trying to keep it simple. I call this car my recovery build. I’m not back 100 percent but keep plugging away. More pics, exhaust painted, ( tubes?) and wired.
  3. Great job Chris! Just doing this took awhile. Model factory hiro parts demand attention. Every part on a mfh kit demands attention. I remember doing a part on the P4 and it took hours. This is why I made a appointment with my therapist before I start the 917/30. Tubes ahhhhh Tubes
  4. Hello Mike , he’s a very busy guy but I’ll try to get a story and more pics . Everyone looks at this car. Every time you go to a gas station someone wants to talk . We filled up at gardnerville nv and thought we could slide in unnoticed , Took 45 minutes to get out of there. Unrestored original. Just had a new engine put in. So we took it for a drive. ( he took out the original 5 bolt 289 and the cobra scattershield , in his garage)
  5. Hello Chris, for me it is hard to build out of box. You just want to detail the car. Have to pull back for a out of box build. The build goes way faster when it’s out of box. Well when I build the 917/30, that will have all the detail in the world. By the way how’s the hippie car comming? Saw the frame and it looks great. I’m still going to therapy over the tubes over the P4. And your Porsche has even more. My Porsche is like yours, and when I build it I’ll have to continue therapy.
  6. A 1964 FIA cobra. My friend Mark called to go to Lake Tahoe. He picked me up at 9 am and we went to a friends house for lunch. Very fun day.
  7. My buddy Mark picked me up to go to Lake Tahoe. We had lunch with a friend. Great day. A FIA cobra.
  8. Well here is the engine block and trans. Not wired yet. I keep saying: out of box, out of box, out of box. Trying to keep the cost to just paint and glue. Very hard to do. I thank Chris for helping with that with the decals
  9. Painting and putting together the little stuff. Engine went together in 5 minutes. So much more simple than a mfh kit. Not that I do not like detail, I just like to finish it. Took 10 months to finish the last mfh kit that I did. At this rate, I will have this done next week. Gotta love tamiya kits. Painting the motor and trans next.
  10. Cool build! Jim Hall cars! My dad took me to laguna seca to see a trans am race. 1970, it was the coolest thing ever. Met Jim Hall as a kid and he was really cool. Man the orange mustangs ,the dark blue cudas, lime green challengers, and amc javelins. And the white Camaros . My dad was into racing so he took me to a few events. Indy, can am, formula 5000, sprint, midgets , San Jose speedway hardtops. I was lucky to have seen some of these events back in the day. Love the work on your car. The flares and mini lights are cool. Great build.
  11. Thank you sir. These are my recovery builds. I’m still not at my best. Just very lucky to be alive to build. Thank you for your support.
  12. Best wishes to you sir. Life pulls us in so many different directions. I understand. Keep safe and good luck to you and your future.
  13. Well painted two yesterday. Was 100 degrees here. Paint dries real fast.
  14. Oil tanks and oil radiators complete. Wings finished. Real metal spring exhaust hangers. That was a surprise.
  15. WOW, I love this build! Great job. Need more F1 builds !!! I’m following this one.
