  1. Those are some great detail shots from the Dragfest. Looks like you had a great time and saw some really cool cars. Yup, really like the sidewinder called Crossfire.
  2. Over on this side of the pond, the lids are usually black plastic. Over there they may be different. Looks like you just threw that together and it really came out great.
  3. Awesome improvements and adjustments Richard. I'm interested to see what you have i store for the hinged top / roof.
  4. My jaw had bruises on the bottom and now it has a callous from hitting the desk so many times when looking at your work Tim. Some real serious stuff going on here.
  5. Eee gadds those are so precise Chris. Great to see you Saturday and wish we could have hung out more.
  6. A small amount of time in and got the engine wired and a couple of the water lines done. Still need to add the red and blue anodized colors.
  7. Those headers are indeed things of beauty!! Great job Tim. Can hardly wait to see what's next.
  8. Art....is this ever going to get back on the front page? I've still got midget on the brain.
  9. Hey MoonMan....where's an update?? I got VegaSnake on the brain.
  10. Hot dang, that is really coming together nicely. Those elongated front fenders came out great. I was a bit worried they would look too tall but I should have known you be all over it. The black body with the red frame work and wood dash is such a great combination.
  11. Incredulous Tim. That is so sweeeet. The front rims came out so nice. I really like the look of those - so light-weight and precise. Curious how you are going to do the front axle with all of its hardware. So glad Dave asked for a mock-up.
  12. My gawd...Johnny that red on the frame just sizzles. You have been busy and it really shows. Love this stage when everything starts to go together.
  13. My, my, my that frame is beautiful and so symmetrical. You should consider selling those jigs. I'd be interested in a set. How did you clean up your solder joints differently since you said they were some of the best ones yet? I use a new X-Acto #11 blade and cut the excess solder off. It doesn't mar the brass since its so much harder than the solder. Then clean up with narrow sanding sticks. Totally impressed as I am with each one of your updates Tim.
  14. Decals are in from Chief Joseph and I had a bit of time this morning to add the ones to the valve covers and the frame above the cockpit for Ian's name. Now both of these will get a semi-gloss clear coat before proceeding. Here's a couple of pics. Pics were taken with my phone so they aren't the best.
  15. I go out of town for a few days and I see the minions have taken completely over your shop JT. That is some really stellar work. The weathering and scratch-building is over the top.
  16. Adding the banners and signs really makes a tremendous difference. Looks AWESOME as Randy says.
  17. Work on this build is on hold until my decals come in the mail as well as some parts for the engine.
  18. Oh I have to agree with you on the upper wood trim. So much better. Really looking forward to your progress on this Richard. Carry on.
  19. For someone who's just getting into to cars, I'd say kudos to you Mike. Your skills have transferred right over from the train side. I've often thought about building one of these kits because the car is so iconic and cool but had heard the kit was a challenge to get to look right. Your build says differently. Glad to have another builder in the SouthWest. Come check out Desert Scale Classic the second Saturday in April here in Phoenix. You will not be disappointed.
  20. Very well done Bob as are all of your builds. Was this a recent build or another from the display shelf?
  21. The kit is off a little bit as shown. I dropped your model picture over the top of the actual car photo. Not to bad.
  22. Thanks so much Art. I can't wait the 28 days for shipping though. I can make a filter box as I had originally planned. Theirs wasn't quite right anyway.
  23. Wow...$10 is a steal. Are there many useable parts for us model builders?
  24. Yes it is looking like a real car. Great update Greg.
  25. Great progress Tim. So glad to see the body adjustments. They came out great as did the rear wheels. Polish those up and they'll be like jewelry.
