  1. OK....I'll try this again. Spent a considerable amount of time prepping the Comp Resins radiator shell. It was a solid piece with the radiator which had to be removed. This left a very thin piece along the bottom which i strengthened by adding a piece of styrene. Saturday I primered it, cleaned it up some more and shot another coat of primer on it. Then it was final sanded with 1200 grit. I shot it with gloss black yesterday, both sides and gave it the rest of the day to dry. I shot Alclad on it this morning. Its coming along albeit slowly. I appreciate your interest and comments welcome.
  2. Why do I keep getting this quote when i try to post? "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." I've done this countless times.
  3. I can't edit the picture brackets. I give up.
  4. Interesting and different subject matter. I love a dio that tells a number of different but tied together stories. Lots going on.
  5. Outstanding so far.
  6. This has the makings to be an awesome dio. Looking forward to progress pictures. What's next?
  7. What's to enjoy? LOL
  8. Michael, go up and look at post 4424. Its there in all its glory.
  9. Sheesh.....you guys need to try some patience. LOL Here's couple of pictures finally. Here's how the MicroNitro rims mate up with the axle and tires, Jim's stuff is the best. I'm not sure why, but I really like this picture. And here's the small aluminum tank with PE brackets and wire with insulation for the straps. Many times I use the wire from inside twist ties and holiday bows. That's all for now fellas. Like I said at the top of the page...small doses.
  10. A bit more done in small doses. The output shaft is done along with the gas tank. Sorry...no pictures. Camera battery is dead. Will get a couple up soon.
  11. No John.........get in line right behind me because I'm his number 1 fan.
  12. That looks amazing Codi. Really top notch work. I'm going to have to look into one of those plating kits myself.
  13. Love it up there Paul but I'm afraid if I came up there, I'd be fishing Becker Lake all of the time and wouldn't get much modeling in.
  14. Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. I've really been a slacker and in a slump since DSC. Its all my own fault and I just gotta get back into it. Its the journey, not the destination, right? Yesterday, I was able to shorten the spindles and get the new front rims drilled out to accept the now shortened 1/16" aluminum spindles. Hang with me fellas, I'll get back into it as it gets unbearable outside in our summer desert temps.
  15. Hi Mooneyes Man - I'll be around today after doing some outside yard work before it gets unbearable. I'll let you know.
  16. Thanks for the photo Gerald. Nice clean build as always.
  17. Gerald - I say you nailed it as for replicating it with materials available. Very cool car and very nicely executed model. I'd like to see more shots of your build as well including the front end.
  18. Has it been long enough? It's later right now? I'm jonesin' for an update.
  19. A small package arrived in the mail yesterday from MicroNitro. The twelve spoke rims arrived from Jim and they are really sharp looking. They'll need a small amount of clean-up but man I love 'em. I've been waiting for these in order to continue and since I've hit a 'burn-out' phase on the Scout Truck, I may just jump back on this one. Here's a picture for you guys.
  20. Outstanding engineering and the fact that you can dis-assemble and re-assemble is over the top brother. You continue to amaze. My hat's off to you.
  21. No...sorry...no updates at this time. next up is the hanging clothes in the closet before I can glue in that driver's side cabinet. Then is the rear panel which needs the outer skin, license plate and lights plus the taillights. I went and bought the different colors acrylic paints for the clothes this weekend so I've got this on my bench, staring at me.
  22. Crazy good Tim. It looks great and I hear you on the dust bunnies. We have tons of them here in the desert.
  23. That is indescribable and that fact that you've actually shown the Henry J body and how its going to sit is awesome. More...more...please.
