  1. Thanks, Tom. I should just build more period! Next up is a 1/2500 USS Enterprise-A from Star Trek.
  2. Yes, I'm going to use #17 for the trunk & #19 for the horn button. David, Thanks for the information on the engine colors. I just went with what the instructions said which was Ford Engine Red. It's difficult to find accurate information on the factory colors as original photos are in black & white, and most color photos that I found were of show cars with lots of chrome. Since I'm planning on building this kit again ad a police car, I am going to use the Thunderbird valve cover decals on that engine, and the other pair of badging decals. Here is the WIP Thread for the Fire Chief's Car if anyone is interested:
  3. Nicely done.
  4. Thanks, Craig. That's kind of what I was thinking, too. I'll go with 17 & 19.
  5. Ok, I have a question for the Ford Guys. I am currently building the Revell 1957 Ford Custom Police Car as a Fire Chief's car. Revell gives several different badging options for the engine, trunk, & steering wheel. The options for the engine are "Ford V8" and "Thunderbird V8", I chose the standard V8 for my model: Now, my question is this. Shown below are the different badging options for the trunk (16 or 17) and the steering wheel (18 & 19): Which badging would be correct for a 1957 Ford Custom with the standard V8, or doesn't it really matter? Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks, Carl.
  7. Got some more work done on the Fire Chief's car this weekend: Need to add the decal to the steering wheel:
  8. To me, the rivets just look too big, and I think they would be smooth rivets anyway. I think the headlights are too high on the kit, but I don't know how much they need to be lowered.
  9. The information that I have is that the kit represents a 2003.
  10. That's a pretty cool looking combination. Nice details.
  11. I just received an email from Gary Wallace, and he confirmed that the show will be November 20, 2016. He also said that this will be their 25th year.
  12. It's usually the Sunday before US Thanksgiving, so that would be November 20th. I'll check around the local hobby shops in the next few days to see if Gary has posted the flyers yet.
  13. Saw this one yesterday at Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards in Lafayette, NY. It has a 1949 Oregon license plate on it, but it doesn't look like a 1949 Ford to me (but that do I know).
  14. Nicely done. I picked this kit up a couple of years ago at the model show, but I haven't done anything with it yet except open the box.
  15. Nice looking Vespa. Never owned one, never ridden one. I am currently trying to purchase a 2001 Suzuki GZ250 from a friend.
  16. Nice looking CSS Virginia. What's that monitor in the background that looks like it has two turrets? The USS Monitor only had one. You probably already know about Flagship Models: http://www.flagshipmodels.com/zencart/ They have some nice Civil War era 1/192 scale stuff.
  17. The eBay store is called "3 Inches Under". Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-scale-model-resin-Emergency-paramedic-Squad-51-conversion-kit-/182115513541?hash=item2a66ee34c5:g:SrsAAOSw~gRVrGXt He does a lot of 1/25 scale mortuary stuff, hence the title.
  18. They are probably the same trailer, just kitted be different manufacturers. The Italeri trailer is definitely not tall enough; it's about 12ft (scale) high, but it should be 13'-6" (scale). You'd be better off with one of the Moebius trailers.
  19. Nice looking Volvo. Well done. Yes, the Italeri trailer is a little short (not long enough) & a little short (not tall enough); but it's just about right for a beverage P&D trailer behind a single axle tractor.
  20. Looks nice, Andre. I don't think I've ever seen one of these built stock. They always seem to get converted into Squad 51 from "Emergency!".
  21. Doesn't really surprise me. Military modeling (1/35) and aviation modeling are probably the largest sections of the hobby (read: where the money is to be made).
  22. Should be an interesting conversion. Have you seen this: http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/hc32mackr700.html It might help with the R700 conversion.
