  1. Just picked up mine today from my LHS. It appears to be a decent kit. The Canadian decals are a nice touch. Logger research time!
  2. Kind of depressing. A good film with a good reality check, but still depressing.
  3. Excellent work. And I agree with Dave: we need more Steampunk!

  5. Nice Freightliner. I like the colors.
  6. Nice job on the Pete.
  7. I saw this on another modeling site yesterday, and I thought some people here might be interested. The site is called Model Train Software, and they have a program that allows you to design & print detailed HO scale buildings for railroad sets. They have other things, too (like LED sets & decals). http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/model-builder.html
  8. I've heard the nicotine is more addictive the heroin & cocaine, which is why it's so hard to stop smoking. Did you know that the tobacco plant was part of the Nightshade family? I didn't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightshade
  9. It's a decent site. Josh is actually in the process of rebuilding his 1966 Kenworth W900. Last YouTube video I saw of it, he was using a lot of Peterbilt parts. Does that make it a Kenbilt or a Peterworth? Not sure. Funny how the truck on the East Coast Large Car show flyer looks a lot like the AMT kit!
  10. This thread is good information! I'll probably pick up a couple of these. I want to do one as a Spector tractor,
  11. Loe, thanks for the mini review. I'm definately going to pick one up for my logger.
  12. Congradulations! Keep it up!
  13. White dashed lines? Dare to be different. I don't remember that when I was in Arkansas, but then again I was mostly on the highways.
  14. Has anyone used the Model Car Garage P/E set for this kit?
  15. Thanks for the pics. With you ground shading, you really don't notice that it's just a flat piece of posterboard. One thing though: your dashed lines should be yellow. Good luck with the company diorama. That looks HUGE!
  16. Thanks, Larry. I'll review Tim's site for ideas.
  17. I like you photo base, too. Do you have additional pics of that?
  18. I agree. That's what i want to do, too.
  19. Here's the link: http://round2models.com/
  20. One thing you might want to consider is that the truck is 1/25 while the sandbags are 1/35. They will probably look too small. Remember a standard military sandbag is 14" x 26" (in 1/35 that's 0.4" x 0.743"). If you use these bags they will be 10" x 18.5" in 1/25 scale. Food for thought. These trucks could be rated up to 1-ton, but I'm not sure with the "rating" for the Texaco kit is.
  21. Sure looks like a Henry. Or maybe a Marlin.
  22. That turned out great. Nice details, great color.
