  1. Looks pretty good, Tim. Nice attention to detail on the diorama.
  2. Thanks for the complment. It's coming along. I really want to have this wrapped up in the next couple of weeks. I think I'm going to use the Aulsowe round air horns as the ones in the kit are pretty bad. I'm not so sure about the "steady hand" thing. I take a lot of Mulligans, if you now what I mean.
  3. So, the last few days (weekends), I've been working on the interior bucket for my GMC Astro. Now that it's done, I figured I'd snap a few shots of it before I put it into the cab. Funny thing, even though this is a GMC; the steering wheel has the Chevrolet Bowtie on it.
  4. Tim, You're a funny guy! I had a good laugh about adding onto the house. Yes, SWMBO probably would be upset if you made a truck room out of your patio. As for your engine, I does look like a Cummins, and the "factory" color would be beige; but blue works for a custom job!. The transmission should probably be semi-gloss black, unless you're going custom there, too.
  5. Glad I could help. Is that the Revell Cummins 855?
  6. I think they're just tires, but I don't really know. Couldn't hurt to email him, I guess.
  7. Did you try Chris at Sourkraut's. He might have something you could use. Otherwise you could always try Evan over at Melbourne Model Truck Accessories.
  8. Nice engine detail. Looking forward to the rest of the build.
  9. Very impressive! Great attention to detail, & great scratch building.
  10. This might help some: Detailing Cummins NTA370 & 855 Engines
  11. Sweet! I like the color combination.
  12. Sounds inpressive. What happened to the pictures?
  13. I would clear coat it to protect the decals. Sort of seal them in, if you know what I mean. It also protects them if you plan on doing any weathering.
  14. Wow! That's yellow. Nice job so far.
  15. Philo, So you know, The Truck Modeler is not out of Australia. It's from the US. I think Jim is from Oklahoma. However, Melbourne Model Truck Accessories is.
  16. Wow! That's a real beast. I really like it.
  17. Dashes are my nemisis as well. These tips will help me, too. I was working on my Astro's dash today, and I went as far as saying "Maybe I'll just tint the windows!"
  18. Should be pretty cool when it's done. Can't say as I've ever seen a LTL9000 with a condo sleeper, but there's a first ime for everything!
  19. Thank for the link on the seatcover decals. Pretty cool. Oh, I'm definately being careful with this cab! As far as finishing it up, I'm heading down stairs rigt now to work on the dash.
  20. Does look a little on the brown side, but it's hard to tell. What did you used for fan belts?
  21. Well, there has been some dabate about this very subject. The engine in the kit is a 8V92N, so the entire engine should be Detroit Diesel Alpine Green. If you do add a turbine, the engine should be silver. The one shown is for a 8V71, but it could be modified. The starter could be either green or black, filters would probably be white, fan would be green, altinator should be flat aluminum, air compressor either green or black. Might I recommend these for a little extra detail.
  22. I didn't see that it was HO before I replied. Contacy Brad anyway, he does 1:87 on request so you might be able to use them after all!
  23. They tractor looks nice. I was thinking of something similar, too; but since I really have no idea what a Jifflox is, I skipped it. As for the P-I-E decals, why reinvent the wheel! Here they are: P-I-E Decals (old style). Brad Johnson does some nice work.
