  1. Does look a little on the brown side, but it's hard to tell. What did you used for fan belts?
  2. Well, there has been some dabate about this very subject. The engine in the kit is a 8V92N, so the entire engine should be Detroit Diesel Alpine Green. If you do add a turbine, the engine should be silver. The one shown is for a 8V71, but it could be modified. The starter could be either green or black, filters would probably be white, fan would be green, altinator should be flat aluminum, air compressor either green or black. Might I recommend these for a little extra detail.
  3. I didn't see that it was HO before I replied. Contacy Brad anyway, he does 1:87 on request so you might be able to use them after all!
  4. They tractor looks nice. I was thinking of something similar, too; but since I really have no idea what a Jifflox is, I skipped it. As for the P-I-E decals, why reinvent the wheel! Here they are: P-I-E Decals (old style). Brad Johnson does some nice work.
  5. Yep!!! Those are them. Looks like in the coming year you'll be getting a lot of my money. This is a gold mine for a Kenworth guy!
  6. Those a gorgeous! Amazing work on those cabs & sleepers.
  7. Looks a lot like this one Kenworth 923, except the model has a wider screen split.
  8. Hey Porky, forgot to ask: you said thet you have a lot Matt's molds. What sort of KW stuff do you have? Do you have the torsion bar suspension set? Matt offered it in 1/25 several years ago. I'll be in the market for a tandem set in the near future if you do.
  9. It's definately 1950's variety, and it looks very well cast. Illini Repleca Conversions has a couple of early Kenworths as well, but he just lists them as a 1955 & a 1959. No model number. I have a funny feeling that it's a 500 Series (521, 523, 524, 525), but I'm not positive. I've also seen it listed as an RB. Look here to see what I'm talking about. You might want to contact the American Truck Historical Society. They might have an answer. Or PM Matt Burnett.
  10. That's definately different!
  11. My guess is it was to save money. Isn't it always about that? It was probably cheeper to print one big sheet double sided, than to print several smaller sheets double sided.
  12. This might help: Astro 8V71 Engine
  13. That does look good with the T600 hood. I'm sure the T800 hood will look great, too. Do you know what would have to be done to the T600 hood to make a T300?
  14. Sounds like an interesting find. That's great info. If I were you, I'd hold off on posting pics from the book, too.
  15. Probably the AMT GMC Astro or Chevrolet Titan. You should probably consider making it a single drive axle, though.
  16. Thanks. Here are some Astro brochures from the 1970s showing color schemes that GMC offered: 1972 1973 1974 1977
  17. Illini Replica Conversions offers some cabs from the mid to late 1950s, including Kenworths, Diamond T, International, & Hendrickson.
  18. Yes, the AMT Ford C900 tractor would be perfect. Load the trailer with some mid to late-1960s Fords, and it would look great. If your more into MOPAR, the Lindberg Dodge L700 with late-1960s Dodge/Chrystler cars would be cool, too.
  19. Looks really nice, Paul. Great detailing.
  20. The Revell USA Kehworth W900 Aerodyne represents a 1976-1982 as the Aerodyne sleeper was introduced in 1976. If you hack off the sleeper, it can be about a 1973. It might be possible to "back date" the cab by using door handles from the AMT Kenworth W925 kit & possibly swaping out the suspension. I cannot remember when the 8-bag air-ride was introduced. If I remember correctly, the AMT Car Carrier trailer is an early 1960's trailer.
  21. That's awesome, Porky! Now, if I just had a RoG W900 frame to put it on. Will your Aerocab work for a T600/T800 as well? Do we get the rectangular slamlocks?
  22. Should be an interesting project, Kostas. I like the "posters" you have on the wall of the diorama. Where did you get them?
  23. Those slamlocks look more accurate. Much better. Now, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a darn thing about resin casting, but I think y should plug the holes for the mirrors. Unless you are planning on providing specific mirrors with the kit. If I remember correctly, the T600/T800 use dfferent mirrors than the W900. Just a thought.
  24. Looks pretty good. Ok, stupid question time: what suspension is that?
