Chevrolet (like GMC) got out of the heavy-duty (US Class 8) truck market in the mid 1980s. The current comercial line-up of Chevrolet trucks includes the Kodiak, W-series, & T-series trucks. The biggest Kodiak is the C8500 tandem with a GVWR of up to 63000lbs, and the offer either the Isuzu 6H diesel or the Cat C7 deisel. The latest (and only) brochure I could find for the Bison was 1980. It didn't mention anything about BBC dimensions, but I did get a good list of available engines. The standard was the 8V71N; or you could choose one of the following options depending on the model you wanted (singel vs. tandem rear axel): 6-71N, 6-71T, 6V-92TA, TTA, TTAC; 8V-71TA, TTA TAC; 8V-92TA, TTA, TTAC; NTC290, Formula 290, NTC 350, Formula 350, NTC 400, or 3406. Right out of the box your Bison kit represents a 1977-78 truck. Hope this helped.

Here are a couple of Brockways that I saw while I was at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY, on Labor Day (9/1/08). The first one is a 1970 361, and the second one is a 1937 (no model given). As you know, Brockway used to build trucks here in Upstate New York in their Cortland facility. Enjoy!

After squandering away most of May, and all of June & July (not to mention February, March & April); I managed to get the frame completed! The stacks are from KFS, and were easier to work with that I figured (yes, I know, they're not totally straight). Next up is the interior & the cab. Enjoy!

I doubt it. Caterpillar is still Caterpillar, and they'll still hammer anybody that uses there name, logo, likeness, or what-have-you without permission. I'm surpprised that the moderators of this forum haven't gotten an email about this thread because we used there name (four times!). I'm actually trying to avod using Caterpillar (I said it again!) engines in my models because if that. I also generally refer to them as You-Know-Who! Go Cummins!

Those trailers look very nice. You never cease to amaze me. Aren't B-trains a Canada thing? Like Super-B's? I don't think I've ever seen something like that here in New York. I've seen 55ft doubles, but never a set-up like that.

I thought you guys might like to see some pics I took of a 1955 White that is owned by P&C Foods here in Syracuse, NY. Here's what I know about it, and it isn't much: Tractor - 1955 White Engine - Caterpillar Trailer - 1951 Trailmobile It was retired from fleet in the early 1960s Restored by P&C mechanics between 1995 and 1999 Ok, who's going to be the first one to scratch-build one of these? Personally, I always thought the tires looked too big, but what do I know.

How did you make the rain caps? There a nice touch.

The person who made the Ford logo decals was Dan Poulin from DMTW. He & I worked together to make them. The "FORD" for the front of the hood is a little small, but they look pretty good. He sent me several sets before he closed down. Unfortunately, he still has the master file.

Can you get a 12V71 under the hood of a 4000? Those engines are pretty big.
