  1. Don't thank me for lookin' John!...It's quite the other way around Theirs one other builder here IMO that amazes me as much and he works in big scale, your motor work blows me away!!
  2. Since I've built a few cop cars myself I really enjoy seeing yours!!..since he asked the Ant.?? I guess Harry doesn't see a lotta cop cars upclose...this is a good thing ...nice build man
  3. My last completion..hey, it's a summer day cruiser!.. although I know you like a little more patina
  4. Well I started with PB around 03-04 so I'm used to it, had a paid sub. until about a yr. ago and it eliminates a lot of the ads and pop ups, but I'm back to free since I'm poor and they give ultd. storage I also like the editing and effects function. That said it does have issues at times I had a lot of problems with it a coupla wks ago not playing nice with google chrome but it seems to be resolved for now.
  5. Thanks guys.. yea Bob I agree, don't really see chrome wheels on real working trucks. as far as this kit goes I recall it being problem free and a fun project I would recommend it
  6. Man I don't get over here enough, been missing some great builds!! I've only built a coupla trucks since their a bit pricey$ but I've really enjoyed the ones I've done. I'd had this kit for awhile and finally decided to build it, it's mainly B. stock with a few things added & modified...I deviated from the white paint scheme the 1:1 had just to make it look a little diff.
  7. One word...REALISTIC..the weathering, details, all look fantastic!!..
  8. Beautiful rig man!.. I like the look of the Volvo tractors, maybe I'll build one someday
  9. That is just outstanding so far!...your weathering is looks perfect.. B)
  10. Well it may have been a battle...but I'd say you definatley won!! B)
  11. Only thing I can think is...EXCELLENT!!!
  12. Now that's a unique Willy"s !...VERY NICE
  13. A pair of Camaros I built awhile ago..'67 is an AMT kit the '69 is a Revell with a big block motor I took from something
  14. I know it's not the most profound thing to say but WOW!!!!...man that is just insane, I couldn't stop looking at those pics ..
  15. OUTSTANDING man....I did the same car in 07 , combined the same 2 kits pretty much just used the AMT body and trim, here's a shot of mine
  16. Well I really like em both...if I had to pick i'd probably favor the red & black one, but their both great looking Chevelles
  17. As usual John...just incredible, now I need to see a pic of the 1:1 to see if it looks as great as your build!!
  18. MAN!!..lively topic..I didn't even know about this till I looked at this thread, I like that Revell did this although obviously their are some issues that have been well pointed out and hey they're a biz so trying to promote their product is understandable. I to was surprised that none of the winners really grabbed me, but hey I hang around here and I'm spoiled!! I also thought of what I've seen from the Tamyia contests which is some blow your socks off stuff...but I think you have to like go to Japan Another thing is how many people even get the speed ch. I have premium comcast Infinity but no speed! I also wholeheartedly agree about the comments alluding to learning how to take a decent pic. to me that's part of finishing my build, I'm no expert photographer but it aint that hard to learn some basic composition. As for promoting the hobby to new builders...it can't hurt. My personal experience is my son, he got into building in his late teens (28 now) and really enjoyed it buttt...in his early 20s he started getting into R/C which he thought was a lot more fun and something he could go out and do with his buddies whereas I find building for me at least is sort of a solo type hobby the majority of the time.. which is why I for one, and I notice a number of others return to this hobby , how shall I say..."later in life"
  19. Hey Lee...looking at your build got me thinking I didn't really know much about the Deora, so I found a good article about it's history, and kinda sorta it was a Chrysler production truck...ok a weee bit modified and using a number of Ford parts and it had a slant 6 but it looks like you have an 8 sitting in just fine!..that looks really cool in the R/T scheme
