I buy models to build them, if I wanted to collect , I would buy diecast. I dont get why someone would want to collect model kits, its just a box of parts, but to each their own I guess

Getting close to finishing it up got the all the striping decals on kind of hard to see I know Grill and front bumper and with the wheels and tires on, I still need to go back and pick out the lug nuts. The ride height does seem a tad bit high, but I know the 1:1 had high ride height.

Not true, 95% of Japanese kits cost the same if not cheaper than Revell/Round2 kits, remember, there is the import mark up fee, and it goes both ways, you should see what Revell and Round 2 kits sell for in Japan. Buying direct from Japan lets you get the kits for the price in that market, which brings the cost of the kits down to around the same price as US kits here.

Budget or not, there is no excuses to get stuff wrong , if it is your job to make something accurate to a 1:1 subject, then you should do whatever it takes to within you budget to get right.

Gotta admit, I am sort of starting to want to get one, but I am already over extended for June releases from Japan

I think you missed my point, if you have the budget to get right , its not going to cost you anymore to get right or to get it wrong, so why not make sure you get it right.

Polishing and BMF are the two at the top of my dislike list
