    Blue Bug

Built this one for this months club theme, VW's , its the Tamiya kit, box stock , paint is Scale Finishes Ford Midnight Blue
  2. As long as they are race cars, it does not matter what make they are, GT cars are you thinking about ?
  3. You are off to a good start, I hate using the transfer that come with the Tamiya kits, they are such a pain in the rear end, I will be joining you guys soon, I am still trying to find me a Minolta kit to start with, I am doing a Le Mans build for another forum
  4. That would be cool, I have often thought about trying that myself I would like to see some one try that as well, I always liked that game
  5. Here is the body in color, I used a Nissan bright red shade from Scale Finishes paint
  6. Thank you guys Almost, but it aint pretty no more
  7. Nice clean build, good color choice
  8. Jimmy, welcome, I was born in Plano, and we lived in Wiley
  9. Now that it has the two tone paint job, doesnt look to bad, and the black wheels fit the color better , well at least to me, sorry, I cant say anything nicer about a Honda <------owns a Nissan
  10. Ahh so that style of box, ok, now that makes sense, I have been really slow this week or month, dont mind me guys
  11. Dounut box , have to say this is the first time I have heard this, anyone have a pic of one, and do they come in glazed?, or frosted with sprinkles ?
  12. I know from a build thread on the Revells Mini kit that it is better in a lot of ways to the Tamiya one, I was a bit shocked by that.
  13. I will agree with the first part of what you said Brett, thanks for the pics, I am not up on what years are what for the beetles, well, I do know what ones are from the 70s'
  14. Yep, building another one, this time, I am going to do it as the EU version, the color will be red, it is the Aoshima kit And the body in some white primer, and I am going to try out doing a wash for the panel lines, I am using Tamiya panel accent
  15. This is the first run of this kit and this one dates back to the 70's, so the plastic was very brittle, and the body was out of shape, almost like it got to hot and is deformed. So that lead to a lot of fit issues with the windows, I had to trim all of them, and I had to intasll the windscreen from the inside as oppse the out side. Its as good as my skills can get it, I still have to work on the rear window, I used BMF for the taillights, not all that happy with how it came out, and I just want this one off the bench I just now noticed that I forgot the drivers side door handle and did not BMF it :banghead:
  16. I cant wait for I-Hobby or maybe the spring announcements for 2014, if what I am hearing is true, I might be very, very happy. I forget, what year is the Beetle kit ?
  17. You could also say that you owned a Mitsubishi 3000 GT/GTO, as thats what is was underneath the body Dont get me wrong, I have always liked the Dodsubishi Stealth 3000 ,
  18. John, you have plenty of time, and I am happy that are going to join, I look forward to seeing what you are going to build
  19. Juan, all the builds will go here, this is the build thread, then you can post the completed builds in under glass Tomo, those R34 kits are really nice
