  1. The ones on ebay are the first issue of the kit
  2. Thank you guys Bob, yes sir its going to get clear coated, I am looking forward to seeing the paint once it has been cleared Curtis, that is the one thing I am not looking forward too, do you have a tip for masking them? Tom, I think everyone at some point in their lives owned a beetle , its funny, out of all the cars my parents owned when I was kid, its my dads 74/75 beetle that I remember the most
  3. Very nice, love the color combo you did
  4. I know you have all been waiting for me to reveal the color, I decided to try Ford midnite blue I did the wheels body color Thats all for now, I have few spots on the inside body parts that need another light coat , then I will let the paint cure then mask and do the the interior colors, and I cant wait to get the clear on the body to see this color come to life
  5. Nice, I like it
  6. If we the automobile modelers did not nitpick and complain about what the model manufactures did not get right, we have a lot more inaccurate kits out there, to a point they do listen to us, and by us throwing fits like little spoiled kids over things, we get better kits in return, well, for the most part. I ask you this, do you really want to see just how accurate model kits would be if we did not care?, I know I sure as heck dont Remember, they are in the business to make money, and the less they can spend on tooling/R&D and so on, the more that goes into their pockets, and if they know they can get away with it, they will.
  7. I noticed that too, and I sure am hoping that its just added for the table and not molded in place
  8. Time to get started on this one, this for Mays club theme, and I bet you cant guess what it is :headscratch: , building the Tamiya kit, dont get to excited, is going to be a box stock build , I love the stock beetles look. Both my parents had bugs, I only know of my Moms bug from the pics she took after my half brother and his friend rolled it over, but I remember my dads 1974 bug, enough of the blah blah blah , time for a pic  Started work on the motor Engine is now almost finished, it will be finished later on in the build when I get to those steps, but for now and body in primer, almost ready for some color
  9. I have , or say still want to polish the bare plastic on a kit body If I remember, werent a lot of the Stuff from Revellogram from the early 90s have polish molds, I seem to remember the Pontiac Grand Prix/ Tbird kits having a somewhat shiny look to them
  10. Isnt that the point of pink primer, to give the right shade of red?, but I guess since its a subject of something that is past the 70's , it doesn't deserve to have the right shade on it
  11. And whats wrong with that?
