  1. Dave, I feel you, and only being a year younger then you, last night(Saturday) we went to my brother from another mothers Halloween party, I was deejaying for his party, and driving, so I wasnt not drinking, the G/F had a few drinks, anyways we got home close to 1am, got sleep around 2, no biggie but we have a 14 month old. But I know what you mean, its no fun being at party's when you are not drinking, but its funny though, we were talking about what you brought up, its just not fun anymore going out late, then having to get up earlier, well its not easy like it use to be.
  2. And another set of decals I could use too , but just like with the PHX PD ones, I wont hold my breathe Chief, when did you build it?
  3. I do enjoy using P/E sets for the most part, but really I just the brake rotors and call it a day, so I dont really see the point of spending $10 or more for something that I am not going to use all of it, or heck, half of it. If I was a contest builder, then maybe. I will be the first to admit that I am cheap, I would like to say frugal, but no, I am cheap , so I try and support the aftermarket world, but the cost can add up fast, I have two builds that I am doing, both are using stuff for the aftermarket world, one of them between the paint and decals, I am in for $42, because of a very nice fellow resident and club member , the kit was free. Then I have another build that the kit cost was little over $40, paint $13, wheels $12 if I decided too, it all adds up Its hard for me to justify buying aftermarket stuff like P/E sets that cost the same or more as a kit does, And I completely forgot where I was going with all this,
  4. Looking good
  5. I was just curious if its something that is worth while in the longer run with the high upfront cost, but I am sure it would be
  6. This thread is very subjective, and everyone is going to have a different opinion on what cars were the worst ever built, kind of like butt holes, everyone has one
  7. I need to figure out what I am going to do with the one I have now, the plans of doing a Phoenix PD cruiser is not looking like its going to happen
  8. $108 for all that, how long, or better question, how many bodys can you clear coat ?, for 1/24th/25th scale
  9. Yes and and pretty sure you can spray it through that, although, that set is nothing like an Air Brush ,its just like spraying paint from a can As for the parts or ratio issue, its easy You have paint, and you have thinner, you need to mix the thinner to the paint All you have to do is make sure you have more thinner then paint, so lets say you fill your air brush jar 1/3 of the way full, you need to double that amount with thinner 2-1 ration, for how much paint you are using, you need to double that amount with thinner, or try an get it to the same as 2% milk
  10. Put the parts in the freezer and then once they are frozen , its easier to break the glue joints
  11. Because a LHS owners buy peoples collections to sell at their stores, so that is one reason why
  12. I use testors tube glue for evergreen and dont have problems, maybe try that and see if it helps
  13. Nice
  14. Is $2 even worth going out and trying to kill a few, heck the box of ammo cost more then that
  15. I am pretty sure I know who the seller is you are talking about Chief , but I am not sure I can afford them right now , is there a lay-a-way plan available
  16. For the dash, I used wal-marts color palace cheap flat black spray paint, and for the roll bar padding, model master flat black jar paint
  17. Dont think I am hating on Jo-Han, there are lot of Jo-Han kits I would like to get, but not paying the going rate, and I do have memory's as kid building the Caddy hearse /abmo kit, the Fury police car, the Caddy Eldorado kit, to me as a kid, they were good kits, and would love to get be able to do those over again.
  18. Which is why I dont get why everyone wants or wished Jo-Han would return
  19. Mark, most of the time its Hobby Bench on Bell, or one of the Hobby Lobbys You should come to one of MoonLights model club meetings
  20. I got the replacement cans of primer from duplicolor, a dvd and got to wake up feeling like crud
  21. Here is a look at engine piece from the Tamiya version and the engine compartment from the Aoshima, you can what you would have to do to add the engine from the Tamiya version You are in luck, as it will take very little work to make that happen, in the pic is the Aoshima LHD in the interior tub, as you can see, its fit is almost perfect, and a side by side pic of the dash's, on the left Aoshima/Tamiya right
