Is Ebay really that evil?
martinfan5 replied to lanesteele240's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Have to agree as well Is ebay perfect?,oh heck no, but is anything else in life these days perfect?, ebay is one of those things that you have to take the good with the bad, or just dont be a seller on there if its that big of deal for you. Take it or leave it, but ebay is the biggest, and best(for items being sold) out there -
For some reason I am on this kick, or push to get all the DOT cars done, so I am on my way to making that happen. I have four more to do , so I am working three of them at the moment. I still need to get the decal sheets for the #51 Exxon 46 City and Superflo scheme's , I will be using Powerslide decals for the Exxon and Superflo, winscals for the City Chevy decals, and kit decals for the Hardeez. I was already to start paint the City Chevy, but learned real fast that the florescent yellow was not going to even be close, so with not being able to find neon green and yellow, that lead me to placing an order for the correct colors from Model Car World Finishes, its not a cheap order either. So as of right now, I have three Luminas almost done, and they are going to be the Hardeez/superflo/city cars. I have one more Lumina kit one the way that was given to me by Futurabat (thank you) I am still trying to decide what color I want to use for the Hardeez car, in the movie it looks yellow, but everyone paints it orange So the bench looks the Hendrick Motorsports shop in the 90s now

Is Ebay really that evil?
martinfan5 replied to lanesteele240's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Where is that option at?, I have noticed lately the trend on model kits is shipping around $11 and up, you know its bad when you can get kits shipped cheaper from other country then in the states For instance, getting a kit shipped from Japan cost $12-14, I am seeing a ton of US sellers charging that or more to ship kits with in the US , thats is just ridiculous -

Nascar Car of tommorow ?
martinfan5 replied to shafer's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
There are some resin bodys of other makes, but there not the 2011-2012 style with the new nose, and I think some you would have to make your own spoiler as well There is somebody on ebay selling 2011-12 bodys, but not sure how good the castings are Now for the bad news, I know almost all of the resin COT bodys are 1/24th, and the AMT COT chassis being 1/25th http://public.fotki.com/raceminded/mikesscalespeedshop/ http://public.fotki.com/raceminded/smhresins/ -

Is Ebay really that evil?
martinfan5 replied to lanesteele240's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That is almost becoming the case, you know sellers are trying to make money on shipping when their shipping charge is more then having a kit shipped from Japan or somewhere overseas . -
Thats good and all, but I wanted to buy a set of his mopar police wheels , this was last year, never ever heard back, I have moved on from wanting to do business with him, if I cant get a email back from him asking about his product, I am not going to send him money. Please dont take this as bashing him, its not, just being honest
