  1. Ohhh dont keep adding to it And congrats, my goal is to win one of my clubs award one day, but thats hard, a lot of great builds show up on the table every month, then there is mine
  2. Yes I know that, I worded that part wrong, my mistake I mean , so if someone replys to some ones thread in under glass, they are going to compliment the builder on his build, then he will explain why he posted in a old thread by saying, I wanted to compliment the builder Please guys, do not take this the wrong way, I am being a smart arse, but I think most of the time, I think the reason why a person posted in a old thread is already there, just read what was posted And agian, I am not disagreeing with what Skip is asking either, there is nothing wrong with what he is suggesting
  3. Nice and SHINY Doc, nice job , I like the color
  4. And I can agree with that as well, the only way to stop old threads coming back from the dead would be to lock all of them.
  5. I am saying this in a nice way , but I think you are making big deal over something that means very little, I am kind of liking seeing some old threads pop up, I have been enjoying seeing builds on here that I have not seen before. Its very easy , all you have to do is look at the dates on the posted replys to see if its current or not, I dont think we need to try and make people explain why they are replying to a old thread. Just enjoying looking at the eye candy and enjoy the hobby, dont sweat the small stuff on here, life is to short
  6. It was late last night when I posted this, I posted this in the Revell release thread when I should of put it here HLJ also has the Aoshima Subaru BZR kits listed now http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS00627 http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS00458 I went a head and pre ordered these as well
  7. James, not sure if you checked Hobby Search, but its listed as early Sept release and here is a link to a thread on SPCUK of the kit that someone has already http://forum.spc.org...php?f=3&t=19889 HLJ also has the Aoshima Subaru BZR kits listed now http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS00627 http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS00458
  8. Only Harry or Casey can answer that
  9. Yes bill , it was sarcasm, I was making a joke , I do know LED's draw less amps then incandescat light bulbs do
  10. I think the reason why is they mainly deal with diecast, but I am happy, I have bought a few kits from them and I paid I think around $10 total
  11. I dont think those 65 watts alternators could handle LED lights used today either
  12. Looks like Gomotorbids is coming back http://www.gomotorbids.com/
  13. I do that all time, have good after its done ideas
  14. Thank you
  15. Thank you guys for the kind words
  16. Thanks guys for all the kind words, and thanks for the input on how to remove the glue from the windshield, one day, I might try to remove it. There were a lot of things I could of done differently or more correct , but I lost interest in it with all the problems I was having, I really just wanted to get it done and off the bench , out of my sight I know BRG is not a metallic, I had this shade of green on hand, it looks close BRG, so thats what I went with, it still fits the car. I should of done a lot more research then what I had already did. I did not know that about the seats, and I think a lot of the time , I was using the wrong year for reference too. Its a shame that such a beautiful car gets the worst tooled up kits of it, I really feel this car deserves to have proper fitting kit tooled up
  17. I guess we are still in reruns here as well, when do the new topics for the season begin
  18. When I need to add roll bars to a NASCAR chassis, .080 (2.0 mm) is the size I use, not sure if that helps . If you look at a 1:1 car hood, its not very thick, and I am just guessing here, but if you were to reduce it to 1/24th or 1/25th, it would almost be paper thin, so I dont think all things can be scaled down and still have the strength needed as well. Just a thought
  19. Great job James, I think that maybe it would look better if the truck was lowered , then the wheels and tires would fit it more.
  20. Not always, few have been called out on here
  21. I think Harry summed it pretty well, and that is why you see people trying to sell glue bombs and calling it "pro built"
  22. Talk about a blast from the past (2007), I think this has to be the oldest thread now brought back to life, and I dont the OP is going to be adding pics of it anytime soon
  23. Good job so far
  24. With the same unusual people too
