I think its a good idea as well, I know several other forums do this both have it as a section. Now here is the million dollar question, how would picking people to interview go? -
I forgot that I needed to get started for Oct's club theme, which is 100 years of Chevys, I had this one already, so figured I better get started, have less then a month . I did one stock, so this one will be more custom, I am using the kits ground effects parts, I am not sure on the wheels, they will be kit wheels, just not sure which set. I am thinking about making a twin turbo set up for this one, also thinking about adding some seats from my wreck Enzo. I have 92% decided on doing this one in blue and here is the ground effects on I am trying something here, with the front engine bay and interior floor one piece, makes painting both more of a pain, so I cut the engine bay lose, now I dont have to worry about masking both

Co2 gas as propellant for airbrush
martinfan5 replied to Paul Bunyan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Its the same thing as using a spray can, only difference is you add the color's. It will not work the same as an A/B, you wont be able to control the PSI like you can with an A/B -
If you guys look at the first photo in this thread, you will see the body in the box with the roof and b/c pillars still intact. I am guessing when he removed the window piece, it broke the pillars and the section of the roof.

I dont think I will be getting the this one anytime soon, or I will wait tell the price drops a little

No the daytona rear window is nowhere close at all, and thats just the start, if you want to build anything close to a accurate show car, you should get a Revell 68 or 69 charger, the only thing good about the MPC kit is the wheels and decals, even then, there are plenty of aftermarket DOH general lee decals out there

I have question how many coats of clear did you put down before you started sanding? I use both Testor one coat wet lacquer, and model master ultra clear coat, both are very good clear coats I started using duplicolor clear coat, it works great, doent have a great shine, but its great for wetsanding and then polishing. If any time you are going to be sanding the clear coat, you need to have to more then just one or two wet coats, four is a nice number, but you still have to be careful when sanding. I am not a pro at painting, just what I have learned and been told myself If you want a glass like shine, you either need to be really good at using an air brush, or wetsand then polish

But not cheap -
I always wanted to build all the Days Of Thunder movie cars since the kits were released, but I only ever managed to build the #46 City Chevy , its one of my favorite paint schemes (even if fake) . Last year at the swap meet we have here, I bought two of the DOT kits, well now its time to start building them . So using the #51 Mello Yellow kit, I am going to use a set of Power Slide decals instead of the kit decals. So far , not much is done, the entire kit has been primered (molded in black), and the chrome striped Here is the Powerslide decal sheet

Up next in my quest to get all of the Ernie rides built that I have not done yet, or rebuild some of them, its the #4 Kodak Olds , I am using a Revellogram #75 Dinner Bell olds kit, lucky me, its molded in yellow . I will be uisng kit decals. Not much is done, I striped the chrome tree, and glued the front and rear bumpers on
