  1. Thanks guys, I still have a lot more decals to apply on the nissan, I picked up the 458 thats in red to replace the glue bomb. I agree, the 458's look mean with black wheels, the both will look a little meaner when I am done. I work better, and get results when I work on more then project at a time.
  2. Learn something new every day, today I learned that danno has a vast stash of kits , and there was more here, but I removed it to stay out of trouble I did not know about those headlights , kind of cool
  3. Only pic I have of the engine compartment
  4. NASCAR motor, I put one of the newer Ford NASCAR engines in a 67 gt 500 build, fits good for the most part
  5. Been working on a few 458's, one of them is a glue bomb I did, so I took it apart, and here it is after being repaited, I used model master ford royal blue lacquer shot over a aluminum base coat, the body is in bad shape, the pics hide all the problems, and the paint is darker in person. No clear coat yet
  6. That would be no one has made one yet, a quick google search shows a lot 328i, but none are 2012.
  7. Its one of the reason's I will go to Hobby Lobby instead of Michaels, even if I know Michaels has what I want. I would rather go to a LHS but thats a 25 min drive
  8. Well least its not a GL , thats different , thats for sure
  9. Its not just the models that are out of place, the paints were always all over the place on the rack, the paints are a lot better now, now they just need to work on the kits. I just dont think they care enough about them at the store thats near me, I am not speaking for all the stores of course
  10. James, I thought about doing that myself today while I was there, it needs it badly
  11. I wish it was that, the model section is a mess, not one single kit is where is should be, the kits are all sideways on the selves, you have to move them around to see what is all there
  12. Just because a person is trying to sell a model kit box for "valuable price" does not mean its valuable, I do agree it would be cool to have the first fun box's of some re-released kits.
  13. Agreed, I see it as only needed when going to shows or contest's , not for sitting on the shelf collecting dust , I use 2000 grit paper, then I use a rubbing compound, then a polishing compound, then if needed , a scratch remover.
  14. Exactly , a heads up would be nice, thats all
  15. My irritation was when I went to use the 50% off coupon, and I was going to buy this one, so after waiting in line I am told its on clearance and couldn't use the coupon, ok no biggie, what irritated me is the fact that the model section is a disaster and nothing is marked, it would of been nice to know which kits are on clearance or not.
  16. Jon, the tires and wheels look great, well so does the interior. Here is the start of the decal process
  17. Looking good Mark, I want to do this one, the 1/24th version
  18. Very nice, great job
  19. Well I got over my irritation of Michaels, and went back and picked up the Revell Ferrari California kit, the clearance price was only a few dollars more then I could get a unsealed one on ebay
  20. They are changing the way we order replacements parts, I have not used the temporary one yet, but it takes about 5-7 business days for them to arrive
  21. And dont feel to bad about grabbing the wrong jar of paint, I am in my 30s and have a hard time reading the new labels on the testor jars.
  22. Picked two more sets of the XS tunning wheels, got both of these for $12.50 , that includes shipping
  23. I did the window trim on the R34, not all that happy with the way it came out, starting working on the decals now.
