The piece you cut off, I am not 100% sure, but it might be the power steering reservoir ,
I guess you can build this as a 2011, since there really is not any real difference between the two
There are sevearl factors here to consider
1- like some have said, it depends on the era, anything from the 90's and up, you can clear coat the body.
2- If you are building a superspeedway car( Daytona or Talladega car) then you can clear coat over the decals, as the teams do clear coat over the decals .
I do clear coat over decals, just to seal them, and not have to worry about anything happing to the decals.
Thanks Danny, I am almost finished with it, not really happy with the way its turning out, having some issues with it. The chassis and body didnt want to fit right.
I want to get one of the Jada's as well, I am not sure which Jada tow truck you are talking about, but I have found a few of the rollbacks on ebay for $26 plus $11 shipping, yea its not cheap, but still under $50

Niko, looking good so far.
Got the blue on, and it was a success, I have a few small spots that need clean up, but other then that, I can worry about getting the red stripes on next .
I use three different PhotoBuckets accounts, I have one thats just all models, then the other are random stuff that I want to post online, I have not had any problems with photo bucket yet. I also have a image shack account, but I rarely use it, its not as user friendly as photobucket is.
