  1. That is very nice, I have seen this resin kits, and they are not cheap, I like it
  2. Very nice, I liked the interior , good job, whats with hood though
  3. Looking good, I like the valve cover, how did you do that? Getting more done on the chassis, I also spray some dull coat over it Here are the brakes, I forgot to prime them first before I sprayed them with the matte aluminum, and as you can see, it crazed them
  4. That is a very bright interior, looks good though
  5. Danny, thanks for the tips, really helpful, going to try it next time I polish a body. I started working on the R34 Ztune Started working on the chassis, I think I need to do a wash or get a little darker paint on the engine piece, I am thinking about doing a dull coat on the chassis as well the exhaust the body , starting to prime it in white
  6. I suck at painting

  7. Its the same reason why Revell stopped making NASCAR kits, thanks for the info
  8. The wetsanding I am ok with it, its the polishing and getting the polish out of the all panel lines, I have tired tooth picks, qtips
  9. I really need to get me some 1200/1500 paper
  10. I have 320/400/800 , I get them at wally world, same with the 1000/2000, I sometimes buy the variety pack of tamyia paper, 400/600/1000 as well.
  11. Thanks Dave, I am going to start from the beginning
  12. I am always there buying primer, and its on the same isle , next time I am there, I am going to turn around and look at the sand paper, I have a mirco mesh set, 3200-12000 grit
  13. So sounds like you had loads of fun today , looking forward to seeing the pics
  14. You are right, Slixx is very important to the hobby, even though I dont do business with them anymore, I would hate to see them close up shop
  15. I can never find 1500 grit, only 1000 , I am still learning the wet-sanding process and getting better, but still have a lot learn. Thank you guys from trying to help, I am going to check the body in a hour or two and see where I am with it. So let see if I understand this correctly, use tamyia masking tape on the edges or raised area's? wet-sand around those areas? then polish out to blend it all together ?
  16. I could do that, but sratched the roof up to much to make it look good, and not thinking,I wetsanded all the body that had debris , so I really myself , I think I just need to stick with pre painted bodys from now on
  17. I am not sure if tower does pre orders http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBVFH&P=W
  18. This might be a dumb question, did slixx change owners, or is there something I am missing ? I have to be honest, I stopped doing business with them when they stopped with the NASCAR decals, so I might of missed something
  19. It does, I decided to try and wetsand it without adding anymore coats, and the debris was covered enough by the clear that 2000 grit wasnt working, 800 did, but it scratch it way to much, so going to try and strip the clear coat, and save the paint job. But I am out of that shade, so I am not sure what I am going to do at this point. I did try go over it 12000 , but that only helped a little bit, use scratch x but again only worked a little bit And while doing it, I remove the paint down to the primer on the engine hatch And it looked really good too
  20. Good question, I have no idea
  21. I feel same way for the most part, it just depends, but most times I leave them off.
  22. Looking good, looks like its had rough life
