Maybe use the wrecker body from the revell 77 tow truck kit that was just released, you could do some kit bashing -

martinfan5 replied to Tye Brown's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Some of us are just joking around, I love seeing GL builds, and there are many options out there to build a better GL , but the first step is not using the MPC kit. Also to OP, here is a site to get all things DOH decals http://hazzardousdec...om/default.aspx Here is how to guide http://www.di-namix.com/naglfc/howto.htm Zerodude, could let me know where I can find the correct CB antenna, I know I found one once, but can not remember -

very cool, I like it, good job -
I like those speakers , very nicely done, going to have to have to keep that in mind. On a side note, you might want to have this thread moved to the tips section, it might get more views as well.

In one word, no, take the wheels and tires and the decals from the kit and then throw the kit away, then get you a revell 69 charger kit. -
What do you store your equipment in?
martinfan5 replied to '08SEAL's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So you guys mean we should store our stuff in some sort of a container , and not just leave everything lying around  . I have some of those sterilite drawers containers, If I had more room, I would get more of them. -

martinfan5 replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree that thread titiles need to be a little more clear as to what the thread is about, and I know I am guilty from time to time of not being 100% clear. -
2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
martinfan5 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Agent G has come to play -
Paul, no I did not paint the wheels gunmetal, I paited them aluminam , but in the light they look do like gunmetal. I had problems to finding good interior pics, so I went on the mercedes website and played around with the interior options part . I am not 100% sure if I am going to get the P/E set, it just depends if I can find thats not more then what I paid for the kit , I already have the wheels picked out, going to get a set of hobby design wheels. Speaking of wheels Paul, you are 100% right about the wheel size, I took one the wheels and put into a 19inch tire and it fits perfectly.

Cowboys fan here, I was born in a Dallas suburb and my granfather made sure I would grow being a Cowboys fan. -
Paul, thats fine, I am got myself into a build off contest on another forum, so I need to start work on that, so maybe say we could start ours in two or three weeks, sound good?. I want to get a set of wheels for it , and maybe a P/E set as well, so I need some time for those as well. Thanks for getting the info on the wheels and tires for, I tired looking it the info up , but could not come up with anything useful, I didnt look hard enough. I like your idea with the black wheels, and with the white paint job, it will look really good. Have you thought about what interior colors you are going to do?. Here is the one I did

Don't get the AMT '61 Ford Galaxie
martinfan5 replied to '08SEAL's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Curbsides can just as nice or better then a kit with an engine, go take a look at the caddy sts kit I posted, curbside but still is a nice kit once you get past the dub's and subs' , a little work and it looks good. If you dont like buying curbside kits, I hope you dont buy jap kits, most of them are curbside, at twice the price, you would really be unhappy. I love engines in my kits, but its nice every once and while to not have to worry about it. I agree to , there is no reason why any one should be dissapointed with a kit, its so easy to find ino about kits on here to start with. Sorry for the long reply -

I remember coming accross this last year and the webiste, I would not want leave and I am an adult, I dont think there are word that really say how freaking awsome that it is. I agree its on the list of places I want to visit, Germany was already on the list. -
Started laying down some paint, going with sublime green, for some reason I really like this color . Now I need to start working on the chassis, I keep putting off.
-
Paul, tell you what I will wait tell you are ready to get started, now that would be cheated as its alredy finihsed , nice build, thats about what I am going to do with mine, thinking black with red interior. What color is that?, it looks almost like gunmetal . I thinking about changing out the kit tires, adding a front spiltter or spoiler, rear defusfer maybe, do know you what size the kit wheels are? 19inch or 20?
-
Thanks, yes its a decal

Here is my 69 GTx , well I am still not finished with this one, but close enough to post pics, I still need to BMF and thats about all I have left to do. I did open the trunk on this one, but when I went to take the pics, when I was trying to open the truck , I broke both of the hinges. So all that work and cant even show it off
