Yes me too, I was looking forward to this kit, now I am bit disapointed , i am happy that Mike did a kit review for us. I will still get this one, but now its not at the top of my list

I keep some on hand , I do find that come in handy a lot of times

Patrik, is that some stratch building I see going on?, looking good so far. Paul, how was your trip?, well you might want to hurry up, this merc kit I started is a very simple and has like maybe 40 parts , I am very disapointed with the kit, I am happy I was able to get it cheap on ebay

Mike, nice work so far, whats the set time for the Ambroid?, I have been trying to get away from using the tube glue, and tyring to find better glue to use

Harry, I did not even think to look on towers site, thats not to bad of a mark up then at $32

Austin, I know there is not a law in your state, thats why I said breaking the rules, and not law. You have to forgive as I have been on the side of having to deal with people that wanted to get something that they were not old enough to purchase yet. And after while the way you act towards them could be consider rude or unfriendly, but sometimes you have to act that way . Is it right, maybe not, but people will and do love to cause problems when they can not get what they want. I am not saying that if the clerk was rude to you was right for him to do.

Thats one of the nice things about this place, Harry gives us room to have debates like this one, not everyone is going to see eye to eye on everything, if so then the world would be a boring place( maybe safer though).

I have known a lot of officers over the years, and yes they dont always agree with the laws either, I understand why the law is in effect, do I agree with it 100% yes and no. I agree with it because it makes it harder for the bad apples that want to miss use the stuff, and no becasue it makes it hard for underage modelers to get what they need for their models. But the he can still have his parents buy the paint for him, so he still gets what he needs.

Rob, I feel bad as well for him, and every underage modeler, its not easy for them or the employees that have to deal the public trying to buy the stuff that they are not old enough yet, thats the point I was trying to make. I was not trying to start an argument with you by the way.

Do you also think the drinking and smoking age laws are ridiculous too? Well all know it sucks being underage, we all were underage at one time or another, but its not going to change, and soon you will be of age so it matter anymore to you. No one is saying you have to like the laws, but they are in place for reason that have been stated. Yes it does suck that the bad apples have ruined for the good people like the ones that are on this forum, but here is a secert, the bad apples have ruined a lot of things, and you will find this out the older you get. The easiet way around this is have your parents buy the spray paint for you, then you wont have to deal with " unfriendly employees"

I have read all five pages so far, you must not of, or you would of seen that I have been posting in this thread this I think the first page . When dealing with the public when it comes to the sale of restricted items, it can be very hard at times, and having to deal with people that get mad at you for not breaking the law for them, trust me they will argue with you tell the cows come home. So after awhile its just come natural to maybe not be so friendly when some one is trying to buy something they are not old enough for yet. In the state of Arizona, if you are caught selling a restrcitve product to someone underage, it is a $2000 finel, loss of job, maybe jail time.

I am surprised it took this long for that part to be brought up, so we have a teen who is mad that one clerk would not break the rules for him, but finds one that will, so then comes on here to complain about the so called " rude Kmart employee"

Yes I know, I was trying to be nice in what I wanted to say, and you said what I was wanting to say a few post back. The law is the way it is, like it or not, and it wont really matter to them when they turn 18.

Well its sad that law can not make exceptions for the good people in world, but it is what is, and its place to help stop the use of it in illegal ways. Yes people will find ways to get what they want I am taking the clerks side on this, he did what he had to do to protect himself, now if he was rude, then that is uncalled for, but none of us know that for a fact.

I am going to say this again, there are three sides to every story, and we are only hearing one side of it, do we really know that the employee was rude to him, no we dont, he is upset that he was not allowed to buy the paint. So lets not jump all over the empolyee that was doing his job, following store poliecy, and or a state law. I have seen first hand how peolpe act when they can not buy what they want becasus of their age, and I will tell you what, they get upset and take it out on you, not saying this is case, but I dont think that the employee was rude to him for no reason.

Andy, no one on here is implying that you or any of the other users under 18 on here are using paint in ways that are illegal and or harmful , we have just been discussing some of the reason's why there is an age resrtriction in place on spray paint
