  1. Thanks Tim, Do you remember how much you took out of it? Thanks, Mark
  2. Hello all, I am working on a couple COE's, I thought I remembered some issue with the Transtar II front axle being too wide?? Or some other issue?? I thought I'd ask around before I find out the hard way and it looks stupid! Also, what are some ideas for under hood / floor insulation? I guess what I am after would amount to BMF over real thin felt, but I don't think that would work too well. Thanks in advance, Mark
  3. A fantastic custom project! I really like the trailer set with jeep, flip, and bolster axles. Mark
  4. Nice work, and I have the same problem with photobucket too, it sucks. mark
  5. Man that is a beautiful rig! I love the paint and stripes, really a sharp paint scheme!! Mark
  6. Hey Bob, I agree with most of what you are saying, but kids today are not as interested in these hobbies as a generation ago. Blame the internet, facebook, I-Pods, whatever, nothing is gonna change that, unfortunately. With that said I know that there is a viable market for at least 1 or 2 more NEW trucks. A W900L loaded with studio sleeper, Pete 389, Mack Titan, should sell like hotcakes. Like you, I have never built a complete truck from resin kits, I love to add axles, accessories, stretch a frame........but I want a styrene model to start with. Bring on a NEW truck, someone, it would sell................................ Mark
  7. That looks realy good, thank you for the pictures. Mark
  8. WOW! That sure looks great outside, very nice build! Mark
  9. Thanks all, Jim I have that Duplicolor stuff and it is very brown, I am just trying to get something close. Heck the box shows it in Cat Yellow! Mark
  10. Hey, I am building the Freightliner DD with the 250 Cummins. What is a good color of spray bomb for the engine and what color should the trans be?? Many thanks, Mark
  11. Some trucks made this century along with an offering from the past would be nice. Mark
  12. That is a beautiful IH, well done!! Who did the decals for you?? Mark
  13. Hello, Thank you for the pictures. It is on the back of the 3408, at least in W900 applications. The other example in the bottom picture was probably a different application, and the Cat photo was maybe just a generic engine. Mark
  14. Those are the ones I am going to order, and walk away for a little bit. I have a couple less troublesome trucks in the works. Mark
  15. Might have an extra set for sale cheap if I can't get this ###### cab seem to look right! I am usually ok with the body work, but this cab is just stupid! Mark
  16. Thank you Tim, I was trying to figure out how the red, black, and white stripes fit together! Mark
  17. I know, I ask too many questions! But after having a look through the newest issue of the Frieghtliner DD, I kind of like the stripe decals. Were these copied from a factory paint scheme?? I have not found a 1:1 pic on line yet, has anyone else?? Thanks, Mark
  18. Well, I don't have a good detail shot of the pump, but, it is on the rear of the motor. I suspected this, but I didn't find a pic until now. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2374795& Might not get 100% on this build, but I will get it better next time. Mark
  19. Thanks Ben, Message sent. Mark
  20. I really would like a set of these wheels, who do I contact to get them?? I am VERY interested in a 1/16 scale set too, if they ever happened. Thanks, Mark
  21. That looks great Jim, very nice build! Are the dual filters on the front of the right frame rail fuel or oil?? I have been trying to figure out. Thanks, Mark
  22. Thanks Tim, I know what they are in the basic sence. They have been around for ages, I was wondering if anyone knew who made them??
  23. I love that T800W C-1576 truck, real tuff truck! Question, what are those air cleaners called with the inlet directed back into the engine compartment?? Mark
  24. Thanks for the good info guys, I never thought to search old Ken Smith articles. I think I am going to back burner this one until I can get some better pics. I wish I knew of a local 3408 KW, but I can't think of any. I might have to hit the E-town show. Mark
  25. Thank you, now I just need to figure out where the PS pump is on this motor?? Is it gear driven off the back with the air compressor?? Thanks, Mark
