  1. These came in the mail today. I am amazed at how straight they are and the fact that there is so little shrinkage that is common. The fit of the bumpers is close to factory.........
  2. Since I will probably be repainting the 56 i am not sure if the plastic they used will hold up to being striped,,,, Cab anyone help out on this, or should I just do a over paint or leave the paint and just do the chrome??? The green on is green plastic so it is not an issue
  3. I came up with 2 nice straight promos....both are 4 doors. both have the plastic screw in or pin set, chassis 56 olds and 57 olds....... :) The 56 is missing the grill and bumper but I have found one so the car is complete with full interior. The 57 is complete with full interior.
  4. beautiful................would be hard to tell from full size.......................
  5. I am getting a 56 and 57 olds 4 doors that are super straight that I will be redoing......This will not be a fast process but I am excited about them.I have given thought to having them cast since 4 doors are harder to find in this condition. thanks to Ramfins59 I have the front bumper coming. (hope I spelled that right).
  6. little update....between getting the magazine put out i managed to sneak some work in.
  7. Here is my little trailer......cast window frames. all scratch built...It is going to have white wall tires with mooncaps. Painted traditional white over pink with correct stripes.

Grill insert is metal from a radio speaker. The gears are the steering box. Note the high tower accelerator cable. Body is total scratch built with pastry box glass. Window decals are paper wet glued in place and transparent. The air filter is 57 Corvette hub cap with custom hand made ornament.

  14. I get 3' x 6' sheets from US plastics out of Ohio.....they have a large variety it thickness's and it is not that expensive about $20 a sheet. Go to their site and look for styrene sheets,

  16. You need a little friggy for the beer,,,,can't drink it warm, unless you are a Brit. American Restoration did a beer cooler in an old gas pump a while back,,,,,,
  17. I have finished the rough out on the front of the Buick.....the grill is just faked in to see if the size is close and to get the basic shape. I will get to the back bumper this next week. This is slow going since I am working on 5 builds right now. Yes they are all scratch builds. I have the Chevelle ready for initial color coat. I have a 34 that I have been working on along with the 66 T-bird as well as the Pontiac Grand Prix. More on those later or you can go to my FB page.

    My garage

Here is my garage with 2 of my cars...it is 1/16th scale
  19. took some time to trim out the opening yesterday. Trying to get more done on this today. It is starting to look like something now and the roof has stabilized nicely. It is going to require a little filler in a few places. I don't really like using fillers but sometimes there is no other way.
  20. Back to some work on this one....I did some work on the rear end and texture coated that. The chassis is coming along.......it is ready for final assembly and suspension parts installed.
