  1. I have no idea how one could cheat on these....it is a matter of research.
  2. Today I cut out the racing floor pans and made some that are closer to stock....makes a huge difference Since there is going to be carpeting I did not get excited about the tops side. A little was done on the bottom. After a little more sanding and paint it will look just fine. I used a floor pan repop for the details. They are close.
  3. the plastic was heated over a candle until is saged and then with the male mold, the glass, it is pushed into the female mold.
  4. Here is my workspace with the 1/16th Grand Prix in progress
  5. Have worked on the chassis some to get it closer to stock version......Have the rear wheel wells fabricated with some molds I made up.
  6. I started a face book page too.... https://www.facebook.com/ken.borst.5
  7. more clean up on the body and a thing coat of primer,,,,getting closer. rear end coil springs are getting installed. the rear end coil mounts roughed in,,,,needs a lot of clean up and finishing The drive shaft has been repaired and the new motor casting fitting into place. The motor is a Firebird. The racing engine will be cast later. It has better valve covers for this project. Neither has a decent intake so that will have to be made up. I will be working up bumper and grills for a Monte Carlo, Buick Grand National and an Olds 442. The rear lights, hood and deck lids will be done accordingly
  8. Turned out great.
  9. Thin coat of primer and photos show off the places that need to be reworked, filled, or totally redone. The trim needs some attention to be better on this side. I also started work on the chassis and cut out a lot of garbage that was for the race car. The pans still need to be cut out and replaced. The rest of the chassis is close and just needs some reworking. In the first photo you can see the cast engines for this in the background. They are taken from a Pontiac Firebird> I will also be casting the engine used in the race car later on.This same block could be used on a Buick Grand National, the Olds 442, and the Chevy SS( I have a Corvette casting for the SS already)

  13. Check the fuel line from the tank to the engine,,,,,,,,,,,there should be an additional filter under the passenger door bolted to the frame. It sounds more like a clog in the fuel line than anything else.........I am assuming you have replaced the plugs also............
