  1. I have been looking at this set up for at least the control arms. Ive been working on a version of the Porterbuilt front crossmember and I may try some nascar arms.. Actually what I said was I planned on using the stock wells and NOT using bigger wheels as Tom Staples commented that it looked like I had over cut the wheel wells, But thanks for looking out for me The "plan" is a seperate shock from bag.
  2. Heres the rear suspension minus the rear bags and the track bar. I flipped the trailing arm mount to gain a little more gound clearance. I scratch built the trailing arms and the bag mounts. Im looking for the front suspension from a wagon rod by AMT.
  3. Quick question, Does replicas and minitures of Maryland offer any speed parts for the inliner that comes in the 60 fleetline?
  4. Actually I don't, I plan on putting the stock wheel wells back in and I just cut them out along the scribe line. Dave, Yours looks awesome.
  5. Not sure how far I will go with this one but I felt I definitely needed a break from the drag cars. Unfortunately my Panella willys will be on the back burner for a bit. I have always liked the look of the early 60's chevy truck and I really like the lowered look and fab skills it takes to get one of these trucks to sit so low I do plan on putting bags on this one and I'm looking for a set with the tanks from the AMT wagon rod (hint hint). Well on to the pics I have removed all the from suspension and plan on putting in a raised crossmember from the likes of Porterbuilt etc. I have already C'ed the frame in the back and cut the floor but as you can see the floor will have to be raised.. Small start but comments are always welcome..
  6. nice start Terry..
  7. top notch work, I really like the for thought put into the chassis brackets. lots of planning and insight. Going to be one of the best funny cars on this site...
  8. Ok guys, heres a small update. I decided to cut the doors open on the body which has made very frail since its resin. I've reinforced the corners but its still cracke but I have back the corners with a little styrene so thats helped a bunch. Ive narrowed the Moving violation dash and filled the speedometer. I changed the floor to clear the hydro stick I have to still go in a close the gaps around the doors so the gaps are wide for now. I've also added a pic of the nearly completed chassis
  9. Fantastic work. Do it right or don't do it all. Really nice!!!
  10. YAAAAHHHHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Thanks Guys for all the comments. I do enjoy building the early diggers. I just got the go ahead from the caregivers of Don Langley's Scorpion V. This was/is a Texas based slingshot car and I am in the process of getting pics and information on the car as we speak. Very excited about this one
  12. Yes Dave I could, I have tried casting them but have had mixed results...
  13. Aww shucks Bob I flattered I mean that... I hope I can do this truck a little justice... Here's the ride height and the AMT bed which needed a little tweaking but it looks way better than the Revell bed. I will show you this pic to demonstrate that the little truck did go through some height adjustments So in short I probably should have posted a pic of the truck Not in motion. Thanks for the keen eye guys...
  14. Matt and Dave, Last night I went through the AMT kit and am looking at using the bed from that kit Dave, I used the back edge of an xacto blade to cut the spindle apart. Thanks for all the comments
  15. I'm certainly going to try HAHA
  16. Yes Wayne its a Drag City Castings Body by Ed Fluck
  17. Thanks again for looking
  18. Here's one that's been on my to list for a while. The Panella Bros. super sano 40 willys P.U I'm trying to find the back story on the truck but all I have been able to find is that Bab Panella bought the truck from Al Del Porto who ran it in A/GS Bob rebuilt the car and put a 675 H.P. small block blown Chevy in built by Bones Balogh in '63. The truck was a rolling advertisement for the Panella Bros. truck Business. The hired gun was Joe Morris who won several events including the Winternationals. Well, That's all I got, Here's a few pics.
