heres day one of mine. Redid the front half on the Chassis and the grill shell , I also took the rear fenders off and rounded the rear area around the spare tire well.
to resemble the front of the 66 version of Rich's car
heres my entry. Im hoping to finish it in the time frame allowed but its doubtful....
The plan is to pick up where I left off and build Rich Gausco's Pure hell. Big deal everyone builds it but the one I was building 10 years ago that got stolen was one of the earlier versions of the car with a small block in it....
Does anyone know where to get an early (71-72) satellite funny car body. I had one at one time but it was stolen at a show. I think it came from a company called Nitro Model but I'm not sure they are around anymore...
Tamiya paints have always been my mainstay. We had to thin it some to run through an air brush. we would put just a few drops of 70% alcohol in the cup and it would lay down slick as glass with very little polish work needed...
I Built this back when the Warren Johnson Olds came out. I havent built much since then as you can read it in my intro. The car did well and won several 1st. and best of's
Sorry for multi posting pics but I figured this would be more suited here....
Its been through a couple of moves as is in need of some love. I plan to clean it repair it...
Hey fella's and Ladies. Ive been out of building for quite some time and with my son showing an intrest in building I figured I would give it a go. I was building for contest/ shows back in the early to mid 90's and built a few pro Mods prostreet trucks and started a swing towards gassers and funny cars. I experienced what was a devastating blow that caused me to give up on the hobby for over 10 years. I was building a Twig Ziegler Pizza Heaven funny car and a Pure hell bantam that were both stolen off of a primer table at a local show. I was destroyed and haven't built since. I'm going give a go for my son though..
Here some of my cars from the 90's
This is a great site. glad to have found it...
