An open letter to all my frens
Fuel Coupe replied to george 53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks Georgie. My 8 year old is my whole world. The things he does just amazes me. He was diagnosed with the gift of Dyslexia last year. Now I say gift because he thinks in ways I only dream of. His mind bends and wraps around ideas that just astonish me. I was really down when we found out and his words to me were " Its cool Daddy it dont hurt at all ".He passed 3rd grade this year with A's and B's. He is a Martial Arts Badass. He's been taking it for several years and is tough as nails. Ive started studying with him and let me tell you its tuff for a 40 yr old to get out there and do it but I got a good teacher . We went to an inner class sparing tournament at his Dojo this past weekend and he took 3rd it his class against kids 3-4 years older than him and twice his height. After it was over he told me " Daddy, that just goes to show you that higher belts dont mean their gonna Beat me". Happy Fathers day everyone.... -

welcome aboard. I know how you feel. Weve all been right where you are at. I havent built in close to 10 years up until now. my first time into a model contest back back in the 90's I got my a%% handed to me but what a rush to see all the stuff people were doing. Most important things are learn as much as you can. If its on the 1:1 it can be done in scale. AND JUST HAVE FUN!!

Austin is a VW Meca. There is a VW following there seconded by Socal. Several Large VW clubs run around in Austin. I Built a 66 few years ago and sold it but I will get another one. I love'em and respond to horsepower increases better than a small block chevy Mine had a 2276 making 208 HP at the flywheel. It ran 12.80's at 106 mph and was street driven with full trim.. I miss it It got about 8 miles to the gallon too

I got them to reply and I bought their 65 dodge awb. They told me that the mold was getting old so I may have to do a little sanding on the body. It showed up less than 2 weeks later and it is freaking NICE. One of the nicest resin bodies I have ever seen. I might be able to get the doors open on this thing its so clean.. I'll definatly be ordering from them again...

Drew. If want to tackle it heres what I did on my pro mod olds a few years ago. I took 1/16 brass rod bent it to 90 degs. lined them up in the frame rails and glued small pieces of 1/16 aluminum tubing to the inside of the doors an theres a set of functional doors that also lift off the hinges. just make sure everything is straight up and down as well as parallel and they'll swing free with no droop...
