  3. I feel the same way about the .coms Harry....
  4. I'm in the same boat your in Harry I got the same little check you got. I recieve the same benefits from high gas prices as you. I never thought the day would come when I had to budget my gas bill. Dont hate on me for the career choice I made. I gotta feed my family the same as you... But you go ahead and sh*t on me. I'm wiping my a$$ with $100 bills and laughing all the way to the bank
  5. Easy Harry its just something I found on the net and thought interesting. And Yes I do Work for one of the biggest oil companies out there. No I don't get my gas free nor do I get any incentives for the gas prices other than being a share holder. I hate the fact that gas prices are so high. Its gotten so bad for me that I don't even go to the gas station in my uniform for fear of being attacked for the price of gas.... We have cut our summer traveling down to a minimum due to the cost of fuel.
  6. I thought this was interesting. I'm sure you've all seen it. Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 .........$9.52 per gallon Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ......... $10.00 per gallon Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ...... $33.60 per gallon Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .. $178.13 per gallon Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon And this is the REAL KICKER... Evian water 9 oz $1.49..$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source (Evian spelled backwards is Naive.) Ever wonder why printers are so cheap? So they have you hooked for the ink. Someone calculated the cost of the ink at............... (you won't believe it....but it is true........) $5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars) So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!
  7. has anyone dealt with them. they have some really neat stuff. How is their turn around.. http://speedcityresin.com/
  8. $4.19 a gallon here for diesel (what I drive). average gas prices are about $3.59. Were not doing any traveling this summer because of fuel prices Im sure will be $4 and $5 a gallon
  9. I love these cars, What brand of Gold (?) are you guys using on the rims???
  10. I never put a price on my builds never have. When buying after market parts I buy what I like and put it away. When I start a build i go through the parts and get out what I want and go. Buy stuff over time instead of for a particular buildweighes easier on me and my pocket in the long run.. I like building highly detailed cars and may build two or 3 cars a year. I have a budget like everyone else and I try to stick to that budget "try".
  11. still need to clean them up a bit
  12. Let me know whats up...
  13. the version Im building had a coil spring front end so I had a set of R.B. Motion coils springs collecting dust. Best Da*n springs out there in my opinion

  17. I cant write you if its full
  18. Boil some water dip the offending part in said hot water. square up offending part by twisting just past where its straight and run under cold tap water. that should get you back in shape. repeat if necessary...
  19. Its been ten years since I have walked into a show. I didn't bring anything to show as I just wanted to walk around a bit. As soon as I walked in I was Greeted by long time friend Matt Leblanc who gave me the nickel tour. I picked up a few things, some from him and some from the small swapmeet. We went upstairs and took in the show. This show was one of the last ones I had been to years ago. Its was a bit smaller now than then but the quality was still there. we walked around the Louisiana Naval War Museum and took in the sights including the U.S.S. Kidd, a Fletcher-class destroyer. One bad a$$ mother... We Left early as we had a 3 hour ride back to Texas as we were leaving I got a call from Matt stating that he had taking Best auto, Best in class and Best in show! He was elated to say the least. His 49 Merc was built Box Stock and it was its last show. Way to Buddy. It just goes to show that a clean well executed build can prevail over a model that is detailed up. (This coming from a guy who details his cars to death....) Congrats Buddy All in All we had a great time and it felt good to walk around in familiar grounds and now with my son in tow who picked up a few kits and was given one by one of Matt's buddies ( sorry I forgot your name). Its good to be back... Heres the rest.. Modelfest XXIII
