  1. the gas tank is slick
  2. HAHA yes Dave the ends are soldered shut. No those little skinnys probably aren't up for the task...
  3. heres a small update on the 32.. The tank is made from brass tube and sheet, Its a bit small but with the rearend and battery space is at a premium Added some detail to the fender wells four link brackets on the rear added a blister to the side of the body for the cowl steering and got "most" of the body work done. Just to illustrate the doors and how they swing. nice but way too fragile.. As always any comments are welcome...
  4. Its good to see some guys in here that head bang.. Heres some of my current playlist As I lay dying Kingdom Of Sorrow Acid Bath CrowBar Soilent Green Graveyard Rodeo Pig Destroyer The Haunted Chili Coldbood HankIII Honky Legendary Shack Shakers And Iron Maiden Black Sabbath Hendrix
  5. I guess if we let petty little inaccuracies in kits keep us from building NOTHING would get built right...
  6. man talk about busting my bubble... You two suck... I never gave any of that any thought...
  7. the pins are about as permanent as they get Alyn. Took you advice Dave and worked the holes in the hinges . they look tons better...
  8. here's the truck lid. I didn't want to use just a piece of wire to make the hinge plus you cant put holes though the wire right? Good Bad or just plain stupid??
  9. The dart is fine, took a little break from it to work on this and pick up a few things for it. I'll have it finished in the near future..
  10. sorry for the lack of updates but work has had me bowed up. so heres a small update. Its still pretty rough but let me know what you think...
  11. If you think Matt's a good trader, Try being his friend. Great guy...
  12. Not too far out of my comfort zone George. Heres my 32 chevy...
  13. heres a really small update on the 32. Ive been stuck working graveyards and I dont spend a whole lot of time at the bench when I work like this so excuse the lack of updates. Made some aluminum bomber seats Thanks for looking...
  14. its good to have "amigos" I got these from the other 2/3's of the posse. all except the California Charger and Motown Shaker came from Matt and Dave. Thanks Fellas... Note: not pictured is a Shirley Shahan AMX and Stardust Cuda funny car ( with perfect decals )I got from trades here with Robyn and doughnut. THANKS GUYS!!!
  15. unfortunately I had a problem with body on my saddleback dodge funny car and had to restart a new body. Not really back burner but it has slowed a bit..
  16. Part of the problem with sweeping the rails is that that you run into clearance issues with the center portion of the frame dragging the ground if you lower the front too much(same as Z'ing). I have it pretty close to touching now. Now as far as changing the angle of the bones that's easy enough by just swinging them down some. then to get the caster back I would have to rework the bones more. Its something I'll look at Dave. Thanks
  17. I hope Im not adding too many updates. I tend to go a bit overboard at times. Thanks everyone for the comments. Heres a few pics from today. Looks like nailhead it is.I have to shorten the bones as they are touching the body bosses without the heim joints installed. got the floor supports done so I can start making the the floorboard. I reworked the trans to make it look like a switchpitch. The grill will sit low (not as low as pictured) so It will sit parallel to the cowl and not have to be cut down. Thanks for looking
  18. Saddleback is alive and well. I'll post it once its completed. Its in paint and waiting for the decals to come in. Littlemans Deaths Doorstep lends its influences heavily to this car Dave, Good eye. As far as power I have a few different engines Im looking at and the nail is one of them. here's the frame under the body
  19. So While waiting for a few things to come in for my saddleback Dart I figure I would take a much needed break from the drag cars and something else. Along with Drag cars I love traditional hot rods too. NOT rat rods but more traditional feeling cars. This may get drawn out as Im not too savy on what I'll need for this build and what kits to steal from as Im not too much on bashing kits. So at any rate heres the frame as of tonight complete with lightening holes and the famous (in some circles) Bleed Sweep. I've Z'ed the rear to accommodate a Winters quick change. the rear rails will comform to the inside lip of the body so as to clean this area up a bit. I know its not much to look at right now but I will "try" to update as often as I can..
  20. thanks Dave, Now I need to find that kit for the tire
  21. can anyone help me locate the kit this tire came from. I cant for the life of remember who made this tire. The white wall is printed on the tire already if that helps..
  22. To be honest with you I have more than I'll ever build. Ive been away from the hobby for many years as well and only recently returned. I bought them from a now closed hobby shop along with a really good friend. We were buying them well below current market prices hence the reason I have so many. Plus if I see one at a show for a reasonable price I usually buy it. Heres a few
  23. I would hope they bring this line back as these are by far the best kits for the buck. lots of options and really good quality moldings too... I have about 40 of them now and could use more...
