  9. i agree. terrible movie . i watched it years ago as a friend of mine talked about builing this chevy. couldn't find the sense of the movie... You nailed it! like the Interieur. the onlypoint in my view is: i thought, the paint is darker...but that was in my mind...as older as you are...

  16. Next in the row, the famous VW Käfer 1600 - 1966 Tamiya, 1/24, #24136 Nothing special, bought this one on ebay in this good condition. lucky hit. the only things i did was some fine tuning. lowering the front a little bit, completed the chromtrim and the rubber between body and fenders. here we go, worth to show it: Thats all
  17. Hi, after a great misfortune and following time of "reading only" and built for my self as therapie, i will go back to our hobby and show you some models that i built during this hard time. I have to force myself...to find my motivation again, to show you, what i am doing... The first in the row: Chevrolet Camaro - 1969 Revell, 1/25, #85-2061 Based on the "Baldwin Motion" Camaro i was not pleased with the green and the rear wing. Didn't like it, so i painted it orange, let the wing fly and also renounced paint the rear white stripes. Also i removed all letterings. Interieur is simple black in black with added seat belts. Under the hood i added wirings, alternatorarm and dipsticks for engineoil and trans Outside painted with spraycan, BMF for trim, realy light washing on my alltimefavorite wheels. Some trouble with the decals on the frontend i sprayed clearcoat. I stripped sidepipes, corrected them, drilled them out and also put BMF over. Have fun! Thank you for the attention, comments always welcome
  18. second part. while i am sick at home, i visited my parents - because with my hobbybox in my luggage so i worked some evenings without making any photos. i made a lot of mounting the body to take a look, how it fits. always had problems with the doors - the fitted terrible...the choice, to fix them open or closed came near by. the only thing i changed was to seperate the windschield and the rear window -> removed the middle part under the "T-Bar". second point was, to sand The protruding (? translator) parts of the windows on the pillars, that the door will close. in my case, there was no chance to put the windows in one part in. The doors did not want to close properly...but! After some decals and made the finish mounting of the windows and doors and pulled the body over the frame, glued it - i was wondering. The doors opened and closed realy good! not perfect, but way better than before. so i have the options, to show it opened or closed some pictuers - of course: to give it a lighter, used look, you can see the overspray under the body: the engnie became a washing with "AK engine grime": some work on the details and more dust it will turn on the finish line.
  19. some coooool rides coming up! I have done the paintjob on my SLR. Couple weeks ago, i painted it silver and with some days (or weeks?) of drying, i painted it with a kind of "racelook": the blue color is called "taubenblau". the goal is, to give it a smooth used look of an old car ( old car...yunker) that the driver used for racetracks. no perfect paintjob - just practical the end justifies the means
  20. i totally agree Niko!!!...or should i send you a new body for a change
