  1. ...Jim, you took your time to finish the Cuda - why hurry to make pictures ? Over all, it looks screamin yellow! like the wiring. If you want to make the sidemarkers a little bit realistic, first paint them with silver (or BMF) and then use Tamiya clear paint orange or red. Perhaps, you will try it
  2. Hi Oscar, never knew, that this car is available as model? nice job, like the color! Are there no mirrosr in the kit? except the black in the grill does not fit the overall impression.
  3. Since i built a Turbine car and read all what i can find, i love this car. A very, very intersting story. The design is just spectacular with a lot of detailwork. man, it is awesome. If i should have the chance, to see a real one,...i think, it is hard to leave it then...i wished, i was born those days, till the ran for tests. this book, i am just reading.
  4. Cool. Love to build "my" owned car. There you have a better chance, to built your used cars. I've built my Porsche: a little bit closer: My dailydriver Honda Shuttle i've also, but no 1:1 picture till yet. Will come up From my other car, a Mercedes C-Class no model exists
  5. I like to present you my Chrysler 300 (1955) from Moebius. Some courtesies the kit needs, but i am very impressed. Like the Hudson, its a fabulous kit. Love it! One of the sexiest cars of the 50s. Only thing i'm missing in the kit is a rear mirror. ...must build my own. Another thing are the decals for the lettering. Good idea for "Non-BMF-user", but why is no decal for the emblems there? That needs a sloooooowwwwww hand, to paint it. That slow hand, i didn't have yet. I'll catch up those two things. Mirror and emblems. What have i done? I choosed another colour, because red, white or black are not my favorite on it. I know about historical correctness, but: its good to be different Also i thought, a metallic paint makes the body smoother and you see the lines flowting. I painted with spraycan, used BMF (a lot of it and more patience) for the trim. Not polished, sanding or something. Only clearcoat for finish. Made some wiring under the hood, some little changes around the car. Enjoy, her we go:, Thank you for attention, comments welcome
  6. AWESOME ! Jeremy, standing on the wheels...buddie, that looks a w e s o m e ...i would sign up once again, if you cast it. Wow.
  7. @ Jeff: if you use the hinge, it is a fumbling to open and close the hood. Also to fit it "perfect" in closed position. Jesus did not mounted the hinge, so it is only layed off.
  8. Really nice colour Jesus - like it! Old beetles are always cool If its allowed,...the wire from the ignition coil to the distributor you have not installed quite correctly. I think, the wire in the middle should go to the ignition coil. the coil is mounted on the "fan box" - this little, black thing with the silver ring, left from the aircleaner Whats about the black stripe on the passengers sidetrim? it does not look nice to the paintjob

  11. these are very cool kit-bashes. Wow!
  12. Michael, your 4Dr Policecar blows me away! Wow! Can i cach up this idea for a gluebomb in my stash? Thats amazing and a really really good idea. For my own, i didn't take on contest. i build for my own to have fun and relax in this great hobby we share. When i search the web for contests in your states, i often think :"...could i have a chance?". It doesn't matter for me. If only one of the visiters takes a look, perhaps make some photos and ask some questions, i am on the winning side. that all counts for me.
  13. in my opinion, i build all kits i buy. it doesn't matter, how old or rare they are. I am no collector - i am a builder. If i look backwards and see, how much mony some people pay for kits i have built, i will go nuts. there are about ten kits, i will never build. but thats more emotional thing. Most i have two of them: one to build, one to collect. My "never-will-build-kits" for example are a NIB "Force 440", "Diamond in the rough"-Combo, different factorysealed issues of the Turbinecar (brown-/blue-/white boxed and Snap) or a Fujimi Honda Prelude. for my own, i build them because thats what they are made for. I like the smell if you open the old box If i couldn't find a rare kit, i buy it as a gluebomb and restore it - and that makes me proud, if i get the goal that i want.
  14. Cool Vans around here. Especially Tom: amazing! Some are in my collection too: Another ones will follow...
  15. That is awesome! What was your intention, to build it? A real custom perhaps?
  16. very nice color! like it!
  17. Wow! the weathered look is fantastic! Also the detailwork from the stuff on the roof! Like it a lot Pavel
  18. build it Erik! take your time to fit the chassis into the body. i built it also and after two or three testings, it fits perfekt Martin, overall it looks pretty good - for a "quick build" . it didn't look so bad like you wrote with the chassis. Like it.
  19. This is really, really cool! I think, your father was happy to get his owened car. Like your Biscayne...4 Doors, pretty colors, straight six engine and (my favorite) right handed dash. Well done James. You can be proud or this result!
  20. Like this thread. Nice progress buddies! Just think about to enter with a second model... @Nick: are "real" Racecars (for example the JTCC) also allowed?
  21. Nice Chrysler over all. Looks good in my view
  22. Wow Jim! Your engineby looks really good! Also the wheels, chrome....well done!
