  1. Yeah, it's had a few "adjustments". -MJS
  2. Looks nice, Jeff. With a few bench sessions, it can become my '60 Comet. -MJS
  3. Thanks Gentlemen, We will be starting the process in the next few days, and updates will follow as progress is made. -Mike S.
  4. Excellent rendition of one of Ford's prettiest ever cars. The Motip paint is a dead ringer for Rangoon red. -MJS
  5. I bought one of those too, but mine has entirely different cheesey graphics. It's kind of primitive, but everything opens. -MJS
  6. Tree looks like a Eucalyptus, more Aussie clues. -MJS
  7. And with the cat now bagless, here is the finished car ready for casting. So the rest of the build thread will have to wait, but I think this is a good enough reason. -MJS
  8. I like everything about it! -MJS
  9. Cool build, the Hemi is unexpected, the "427 Powered" decals make it into something of a sleeper... -MJS
  10. Simmer down, Cliff. Why is this becoming a "My country is better than yours" yawnfest? We are all better drivers than the Russians, how about we leave it at that. -MJS
  11. Like my driver, the engine will be a bone stock 5.0 with automatic and air. After a few more rounds of micro-sanding and priming, I'm calling the body work done. The final step is to get the window glass in order. I'm modifying the stock glass to be used as vacuform masters, this involves lengthening them with plastruct and using super glue/accelerator and glazing putty as filler. I've never done this before, so hopefully I'm on the right track. -MJS
  12. That Thames was my first Revell kit build from the late '70s. Yours came out a bit better! -MJS
  13. Sharp, tight looking build. The mods are just right, aggressive yet tasteful. The Range Rover style fender vents are a nice touch. -MJS
  14. Great build on a seldom seen model. Love the back ground too. -MJS
  15. They were scrapped in Jan 1968. Chrysler tried to give as many as possible to museums, but few were interested. Import duties of a few hundred dollars a car had nothing to do with it, they were scrapped for liability reasons just like concept cars have been before and since. -MJS
  16. One of your best yet. Reminds me of the Charger in Big Fish. -MJS
  17. When greed and stupidity have a head-on collision: I wonder if someone buys that, and gives the seller a negative feedback because they thought it was a real car they were getting. -MJS
  18. Whenever you see a Lada in a Russian dash cam video, it will be wrecked seconds later. -MJS
  19. They had white plastic buckets back then? -MJS
  20. Looks really terrific, your improvised tools are doing the job. I like the color too. -MJS
  21. Takes me back to Phoenix in the '80s. They were everywhere, generally with faded paint and off-brand white letter tires on the back only. I miss those days. -MJS
  22. Amazing how many buildings that were there are now parking lots full of Priuses and Civics. -MJS
