  1. Ok, just to clear it up, it states NOTHING in the rules about "purchasing a brand new model from a store, website, etc". This question was asked on Revell's official Facebook page and was answered very simply...take a look: I for one am building the Dodge Ram VTS truck, since I already have it AND because I have something bad-friggin-ass planned for it!
  2. Thanks for the kind words y'all! So far I haven't done much as of late, but I did sand down the filler on the bumpers/side skirts and re-filled the imperfections. when I get them done, the body parts will go into primer and then I gotta buy some white and some fineline masking tape for the stripes.
  3. Oh yeah? Let me know which diecast you speak of...
  4. Sweet! I had no idea that they were the oversized Shelby wheels! I will have to get a set or two. Thanks guys!
  5. Yes! I just didnt recognize them without the spinner hub. Nice!
  6. Just wondering how people are "dry" assembling their models for test-fitting parts. I have a kit that i want to test fit parts to see what the out-of-the-box ride height is. Is there a way to temporarily assemble a kit, say with Elmers white glue?
  7. I'm wondering of anybody has ever made a set of larger sized (17's or 18's) Shelby wheels, found on cars like Eleanor from "Gone In 60 Seconds". I know theres a german place that makes a resin Eleanor kit with those wheels, but I dont think they are offering them separately. Just in case, I emailed them and asked. If anyone knows of anywhere else that makes them, please let me know. Thanks! -Brodie
  8. I love it! However, I'd like to see a "clearer" picture of the engine.
  9. This is awesome! I have 2 of those kits, one of which is up for trade...but I was thinking the other day that I should keep it and build it like the wrecked one that they eventually fixed. Too cool!
  10. Eh thats ok Lawrence, I found someone that has one. Thanks though!
  11. Thanks guys! The body has really not been touched much...I still have to sand off the filler on the doors and some of the bumpers too. I'm concentrating on the interior for the time being.
  12. Ok, here's a few pics of the interior I took just a few minutes ago. I'm going for the white/blue Pontiac Anniversary theme they use on the Trans Ams, so I figured I'd color the inserts blue.
  13. I got home tonight and started painting the 2-tone color of the interior...it came out awesome! I love it! Here's a teaser until the rest of the parts are dry...
  14. Thank you! It really is a great kit! Its fairly simple to assemble and detail, and it looks so good! These are one of my favorite 90's cars of all time! I had a black '92 GTP with the 210hp 3.4 V6 and a 5-speed manual trans...when it was running well, that thing screamed!
  15. Great job cleaning up an old promo! I'm in the lookout for a Brookfield Dodge Neon promo to modify myself. Looks good dude!
  16. Great friggin' job on the Dart GTS! Wow...the flat black adds some old-school flava but the bigger wheels/ lower stance and stunning paintjob really bring the car together for a fantastic end result!
  17. Here's my collection...even though a few of them are "traded" and need to get boxed up, that is what I have as of right now. I have a few others, but they are boxed and ready to ship to the new lucky owners. LoL
  18. Wow, I'm glad that the thread is such a hit! It's great to see so many collections and kits! Thank you to everyone who participated iƱ showing off their stash...keep 'em coming!
  19. Did a lil bit of work since im home with a sprained ankle. Found a gauge decal from a 98 Firebird that was pretty close so i used that and now I'm filling in the gauge area with Future floor polish. I'll give it a good 3 coats just to fill it in. I think it came out pretty good...not perfect, but no model ever is. I also painted the buttons around the gauge pod and the glove compartment combination lock parts as well.
  20. ^Agreed with what Walter said. Dakotart2000 (Dan), i see you are a newer member with only 6 posts, so you'll find quickly that this place does not take kindly to unkind comments. Everybody has their own skill levels...I was once at this level when I was younger. This kit was buily 7 years ago...give him some slack.
  21. I dry-assembled the doors/dash to see what it looks like...looks amazing! I'm very pleased with how it came out! I also painted across the middle of the dash and around the gauges black. It's not accurate, but it makes breaks up the dash and makes it look more realistic. I'm not too crazy about the digital gauge layout, so im going to see if I can find a pic of the gauge layout and print it out in scale.
  22. Thanks everyone for the kind words! I fixed the rest of the pics, so now you can see beginning to where it is now. Mike, I used Kens Kustom Fuzzi-Fur. It's a little longer fibers than I'd like, but it still looks fantastic! Thanks Kevin, PM'd you back!
  23. Nope, its charcoal gray...it looks a little brown due to the crappy lighting. Looks like I have some links that need fixing too.
  24. It's amazing stuff...very lifelike look IMO. Got a some flocking work done this morning...I forgot how a little flocking brings an interior to life!
