  1. Romell, if your going to go to bigger scales like Greg, I think you'll be in the same boat,Bro, caz Gregg hasta build most of the stuff he adds. His scratchbuilding skills are second to none. Like your avatar, were you a tanker?
  2. Looks GOOD Daddy-O. The ride height is PERFECT! (Love them Torsion bar front suspensions!)The steelies just make it even better! GREAT save, you dun an old warrior right!!!
  3. There ARE 24th scale aircraftthat come with Allison and Merlin engines, but as was mentioned already, the get rather pricey! The New Airfix De Havilland Mosquito comes with TWO merlin/rolls royce engines! Your best bet it the new AMT/round2 Parts pack that comes with a 25 T bucket body AND an Allison V-12! Kill yerself 2 birds with one stone! Hope this helps a little.
  4. Cool, Jon, Imma be watchin this one, caz if it's one thing I sure like to do is cut plastic!! Please keep us updated on this. I think you'll be well rewarded for your efforts!!!
  5. OOO-OOO-OOOO! (I feel like Curly) That's lookin like it's commin along right nicely Stump! Muh Favorite Aussie doin his thing is a joy anda pleasure to watch! Lookin GOOD bro, an like was mentioned earlier, If i didn't see it from the start, I EASILY coulda believed it was a REAL car! You GO Stumpman!!!!
  6. Just gotta nother PM from Dave, he says his posts have to be APPROVED?? Wazzup wif dat? And who hasta approve it? If he WANTED to post it looks like he still can't. Give a brutha a hand, please.
  7. What scale are you building it in, Merc???
  8. Thank You so VERY much, my GREAT Kahuna!!!!!
  9. Yeah, right Rod, an I'll just use my X-Ray vision to burn 'em into the screen!!!! Yeeesh, I don't get NO respect!!!
  10. Guys, I just gotta EMail from the ol treehugger and he's asked me to let you know he appericiates your comments, but at the moment he's still locked out of the forum. He CAN access it, but he can't post, or give replys. So he asked me to let ya'll know he's NOT ignoring us, it's just that he can't get in! So if your readin this Big Kahuna, could ya let our (at least MY) favorite TreeHugger back in? Thanks!!!
  11. Ray, it might be a longshot, but have you checked with Steve Kohler at Star Models? He might carry one in his selection of R&R's kit line-up. Plus he's just a great guy to deal with.Hope this helps.
  12. Gary, JoHan was the only kitmaker who had the 'nads to pop the BIG chryslers. One reason why I like ol JoHan so much. Blew ALOT of these GREAT models up as a kid. Wish like heck I'da known THEN what it was gonna cost me to REPLACE those rascals! Jeff's 300 is as close as were gonna come to gettin ahold of one at a REASONABLE price!
  13. If this IS a model it's a NICE one. I THINK I've seen this rascal at Greenfeild Village/Henry Ford Museum. Or at least one just like it. They even give rides in one at the Village. I think it's REAL!
  14. One REALLY nice thing about it is the seats in the interior are molded into it. When you find one on the bay, the seats are usually not complete. This kit had 2 part seats, the cushion AND the frame. Alot of built kits have just the cushions glued in, which this interior completely avoids by being assembled correctly. Plus, it's molded in Jeff's usual high quality style that we've become used to. Have you tried to find this kit, assembled or not on the bay? these things usually go for quite a bit! I think ol Jeff did us all a favor by poppin it. I've seen this bad boy up close, and it's a BEAUT!!!!!
  15. Like all good country songs, it was a woman!!!!
  16. VERY nice, clean job on the BMF,Bri! The rest ofit ain't too shabby either! Came out GREAT!
  17. Harry, your the only one who's got more posts than me, so sign me up too!
  18. Tim, other than the original Revell 70 Mustang coupe/convert kit, there's only one other 70 Mustang coupe kit available in resin that I know of, and it's in 24th scale, from Bandit resins. It's a 70 coupe. Missing Link makes a 70 fastback, popped from the old original AMT molds and is a TRUE 25th scale model. There MAY be others, but I've never heard of any, myself. Hope this helps somehow.
  19. They were just sittin there in the desert? Can people just take one an try to rebuild it? or are they on State property and unobtainable? That last little sedan, whatever it is, looks like it salvageable, or was it rusted just too thin???
  20. OOOOO,THAT would be NICE!!!
  21. OOO shucky, when will those bad lookin turbo's be ready? I can use a coupla sets of them bad boys!!!
  22. That's funny Johnny, caz MY sweetie said THE SAME THING!!!!!
  23. Thank you for your courtious reply Marc, makes me see that your really just like me. As far as Dave's claims, I wouldn't know them from Adam. I 've seen his pictures of his Chromeing system, and he's told me how he did it, (Which is just TOO much trouble for ME to go thru) I believe him, because, as I see it, he HAS no reason to lie to me. If others have a particular problem with Dave, they REALLY should just PM him , like you did me, and maybe things could be settled in private, instead of just lettin it all hang out on the forum. After all, we ARE supposed to be adults here. I do just get SOOOO tired of the bickering. This is OUR forum for US, given to us by Gregg, and we should treat it like the GOOD thing it is, instead of useing it to air our beefs. That's all from me, so again THANK YOU for your PM, it was very insightful AND appericiated!
  24. Mark, I DIDN'T really think I was stirring ANYTHING up. The post WAS addressed to ME after all. If I struck a nerve with the jealousy remark, well, DEAL WITH IT! Sometimes it is scary to realise the truth. If you and your little freinds WANT to attack Dave that's YOUR perogitive, but I've seen Dave's Chromeing set up, and it looks like ALOT of trouble to go thru just to set up a lie. But then, I'm sure I'm not telling a worldly fellow like yourself anything. I just notice how fast YOU and j sauber and the other little kids just like to start stuff. Before the "Build for profit" and a the so called Better builders(in their own minds)came here, this was a GREAT forum, but it REALLY has lost appeal to ALOT of older REAL builders who started this place. They seem to have lost intrest in this forum BECAUSE of the childish bickering that CONSTANTLY goes on. Teenage kids I can deal with, but YOU guys are so called "Show winners" and should act like it, NOT like some 15 year old kid. This USED to be the BEST forum on the PLANET, TILL the "I'M better than you' guys showed up. I fortunately HAVE a life and model cars are just a pastime/hobby for me. But those few that act like it's THEIR LIFE, well, maybe you guys should find another pastime that WON'T get you so unhinged when someone BETTER comes along. Get used to it caz it IS gonna happen! In FACT, it's probably happened already, and you just haven't realised it yet. Dave, if ya wanna show me anything else, just EM me Daddy-O, that way we can keep the kids outta this. They are ALWAYS gonna be jealous little kids.
