  1. Thanks a LOT Ed, ol Buddy. Ya know, it was REALLY beginnin ta bug me about that.I know, if thats all I got ta think about, I much not do much thinkin!. But the curiosity was gettin to me.Glad you could straighten this up for me. Now you guys see why I LOVE THIS PLACE?!!!!!
  2. Ya dunnit agin dintcha? Thats one slick lookin Dodge! I really like your backround in the pics. The only thing I would change is the ground. It looks like a rubber mat. Is it? Other than that, ALL your builds AND pics look convincingly real! Ya dun a good job on thisn too! But then again, you ALWAYS do! GREAT BUILD!

I's got ta agree Ed, your lil Chev looks mighty tastey in those colors! Looks like what one of my teachers would driven. Yours came out great as usual! Nice clean build, looks GREAT!
  4. :DWell, I do gotta agree there about the bodies beein nice! It sure looks like a 55 Pontiac! I can fix up another interior(maybe a 55 chev'll fit) But he should dump his resin caster, an just sell the bodies an chassis. Can't blame him for a lousy casting if he din't make it, BUT, he NEVER shoulda put em in with the kit in the first place. Thanks for not bein sore with me about my comments, I just felt others should know.
  5. Greg, I din't mean to go off onna rant, and I do appologise to you.But I gotta agree, If JoHan ain't dead, it looks like, for all intents and purposes,it is. To just be hoistin junk on folks is no way to do buisness! He had 3, count em, 3 kits to sell. The new lil Rambler wagon, the 55 Ponty I bought, an a 56 plymouth. If thats all he's got ,out of ALL the stuff JoHan used to have, Well, then he ain't got much. To tell folks he's still in buisness is kinda a long shot!
  6. Duhhh, Case, is/was there a pic?
  7. Yep, ED, I gotta agree wit da guys,A nice creamy soft beigey color would really make a nice match to the dark brown exterior.Loks like it's gonna come out nice! A nice change from all the Wimbletom White ones ya see all the time!
  8. WOW DD, you guys sure don't mess around! Those are some great lookin builds! They don't look like they know there in France! Well I guess great modelers are just great modelers, no matter WHAT country they're from! Outstanding work!!
  9. Well it's on page 3 already, and I ain't added my .02 cents yet. Mostly caz I NEVER stopped building. When I was a kid,I would go to the store(Arlen's) with my mom an Dad, an I would head to the toy dept. to look at the models. My Dad knew I liked em, so bein his namesake, and the youngest of 6 kids, he'd usually get me one. Then when I got older an started likein girls, I'd go shoppin with them, and THEY would buy me a model. Then I met my wife, and she was used to my hobby. Then in the service, I'd go to the comm and buy them there. Then when I got out, I STILL bought em, and when my Daughter was old enough, she'd always get me one for my B-Day and Christmas. Now I'm retired an STILL buyin em. So, you see, I NEVER quit buyin an buildin em. I got a whole sh8tload of kits downstairs,an at my Daughters storage facility. At last count I had almost 800 kits! Sure hope I can hang around till I build em all!
  10. ######, for all the goof-balls we got here, they's SEEM ta be some smart guys too! Well put, Lyle!!!
  11. AMEN, Harry!!!
  12. Ya know Harry, Ive ALWAYS wondered that since I used to see them on the old Superman TV show! And I STILL don't know how they did it!.

  14. Great lil build Tom, I bet your the only kid on your block that's got one! Maybe if you'd built it with that engine that"Rodasourus"is showin us, that lil scoot woulda been able to FLY with Superman!!!
  15. Dave, glad ta see ya back at it! I missed ya. One of the fellas built the original design of your take-off, the 789 I believe it was. His came out pretty close to the original. He musta thought it wouldn't be liked, caz he was kinda negative in his remarks. But it looked ok to me. BUT... I still like your take on it better. Too each his own I guess. Let's finish that rascal up kiddo, I been waitin ta see it!!!
  16. Well at least we knows why ya waz gone! But, maybe yaz needs some TRAININ wheels on at bike o' yourn! Remember, ALWAYS hit the REAR brakes FIRST!. But I guesses ya foun dat out aready! To bad ya din't land on yer noggin, then yada been awrite! Glad ya want hurt too bad!
  17. ######'n,Iguess a GOOD modeler can make a car outta ANYTHING! Too bad yer NOT a GOOD modeler! That lil Pumpkin Rod is too cool! what can ya do with a plain ol Gourd! It looks GREAT ######'n, an it's GREAT ta see ya back on board an buildin again, I missed yer wrangely ol a$$!
  18. And a CRAPPY HAPPY HOWLOWEEN to you too ######'n. GLAD ta see ya ain't left us, you ol ghoul you!!!
  19. Well, Mr. Okie may be a nice person, BUT I for one would never buy one of his products ever again.I purchaesd a 55 Pontiac from him in April of this year at the MCCC toy show, He told me it was a complete kit, which it was. It included the body, flat metal chassis and what was SUPPOSED to be an interior. Stupid me, after hearing what a good vendor he was, I broke one of my own rules and DIDN'T open the box to check for quality. When I got home what was sopposed to be an interior was a rectangular blob of resin that wasn't fit to use as a paperweight! the sides were at least 1/4inthick ans the floor was at least 3/8th of an inch thick. I couldn't have used it if I wanted to, and theres NO WAY to correct resin when it's that thick. In a small buisness like he has, quality should be a no.1 PRIORITY! Maybe he DIDN'T cast the resin, BUT he SHOULD have checked it BEFORE he tried to dump it on an unsuspecting customer. Sorry to be so cold hearted, But I work hard for my money and DO NOT appericiate being ripped off like I was. If thats how he runs his buisness, it doesn't need to exist!
  20. Well, to be honest guys, I don't think the hobby will EVER forget Bob Paeth.Even if ALL his models were sold, he was a BIG influence on all of us. Even those of us who never had the priviledge to meet him.He is only gone home physically, but spirt wise, I think he'll be in EVERY model car we build! I think this is a GREAT way to keep his spirit with us.R.I.P.Bob, and know that we shall NEVER forget you.
  21. Thats GOT to be one of the neatest lookin Yoda's I've EVER seen! Is it just me, or does that front end look like a 75/76 Chevelle? Either way, thats just cool!
  22. Well, 3, it looks like it's gonna be a KILLER BUG!, as opposed to a bug killer!!! Can't wait to see this lil rascal rollin around!
  23. Happy B-Day Di, And your gonna like that trailer! I got one about 5 years ago, and it wasn't all that hard to assemble. LOTSA parts though. But, it sure does make a GREAT dsplay peice for your models! It'll hold 6 models with no problem, and they'll look great on it! Neat gift! Have a GREAT day!
  24. ###### your up early Harry, or I'm LATE! Welp, ya got me on this one! I'm glad I din't bet on it caz I'da lost big time eh? Who makes it? Pocher or someone like that? Sure looks real to me!Got me good this time Ol Buddy, But there's always NEXT week!
  25. OK Here goes. IF YOU CAN READ THE INSTRUCTIONS YOU CAN BUILD A MODEL!!!! It's NOT rocket science! Yes I agree that some ARE MUCH better builders than others but the fact remains, its not that hard! Thats why they make snappers, to show beginners how todo it!Now as far as what someone charges for a completed build, thats a WHOLE NUTHER BALLGAME!.This was bought up once before when I commented on a build someone was sellin on the bay a while back, an thought 700 was a might "pricey" for a 1/25th model kit.I understand all the work that goes into building a first rate contest winner, even IF I've never built one! I got eyes, I can see the detail, and understand the time and effort to get it "just right". I've been doin it for most of my life, and even though I've never won a show(the only time I entered one, I got 2nd place AND my model was stolen)It wasn't to actually win, but to show off what I made. I was about 12 and I was proud of it.Would I have sold it for 12 thousand? Heck yeah! I'm no fool, but was it worth it? NO.And my ma probly woulda gave me heck for "stealin" from someone. But as they say, opinions are like a$$holes an EVERYBODYS got one! This ones mine, and if folks don't agree with me, thats ok too, my feelins won't be hurt. And thats enuff from me, about this!
