Jus cause some dude insults my man(hey, I'm still workin on the adoption)Don't mean he's gonna lower himself to a lesser level and not be who he is!Hey I like his outside the box thinkin, and it sure results in some of the most unusual and beautiful models I have ever seen,Hey, they sure look BETTER'n they did BEFORE he outside theboxed em! ###### comes for all sources, But mostly from A$$ holes! These opinions are purely my own and completely endorsed by ME!

Yeah Bill, I know whacha mean. My all time favorite 426 Hemi valve covers came on the Jo Han models. The ones with the raised fins and M/T logos! The real ones went for 250.00 a pair back in the day! Probly well over a 1000.00 today! But yeah, seems like EVERY Hemi had different valva covers!Or would they be called rocker arm covers?

Well I'll Be.....,Yep Harry, It sure is a WELL BUILT an ACCURATE one!Not that I'd know a real one if it ran me over, BUT that one sure is REAL LOOKIN! Mebbe you can see parts o' my brains onna wheels, Cause ,like I said , I couldn't tell the difference if it ran me over!!! GOOD ONE!!!

Eric, Doesn't look any different than what I see on the streets! Looks pretty good to me.I'm noticin that you tend to build mostly street cars,(not that it's bad) Don't they have any Modified cars in your neck of the woods? I know some countrys have laws that forbid ANY mods on ANY cars, Is yours like that?Either way I do like your little Honda,But I'd like it MORE if it had a BIG ol Turbo!

I have purchased from them before at the Macomb County Comm.Coll. show and they are excellent casters.I bought their lil 63 Falcon and their 70 Cougar and was very pleased with them both.Only problem with that is their only 2 shows a year, an sometimes I just can't wait that long.Havein the website sure does make it ALOT easier! Thanks a Bunch fellas!

Well Phil If you hadn't told me I'da thought it was the 57 from the Franklin Mint! Looks real nice so far,an it don't even have alot of it's chrome!Once the bumpers an the rest of the stuff are on it ,it should be a killer! Great job so far, show us the finished product when it's done!

WHAT WEB SITE! All I get is Evil bay bidding sites and I won't deal with them.Is there another site or address on the web that won't make me bid for stuff? If I wanna buy somethin I sure as hell aint gonna get into a auction for it.If that's the only way to buy from you you have DEFINATLY lost a potential customer. Not tryin to be rude, but I prefer to just pay a price and buy it instead of playin silly games to have something.

Treehugger, only YOU could put a set of 24's ona Packard Boatail an make em look FACTORY!Looks good so far kiddo, nice color combo. Can't wait to see this rascal finished!EEz Loookeen Gooood!

I know, it's not a car, but it has tons of wheels!
george 53 replied to JAFFA's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Jaffa, What, jus caz they aint got 20's n stuff onem dont mean they aint interesting!Personally I like Tanks. They just dont make alot in 25th scale.I do have all they do make tho.I gotta agree wit the treehugger tho, where do you find that kinda color confusion in nature? about the only thing I can think of is the forest in autumn.then youd hafta repaint em white in winter!Either way keep postin cause Personally,I like Tanks! -
do you consider model cars art?
george 53 replied to conor1148's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well guys, I kinda hafta agree with Cal to a point. It surely falls into a craft catagory,as you do have to assemble a kit to get a final result. Some fellas can just assemble the sh8t outa some kits! and some are content to build outhebox. But then once ina while you come across fellas like Gramps xrds, who can take basic materials and CREATE a subject that actually takes the veiwer to another place in time,if only in their mind. This in my opinion IS ART! Then theres guys like Treehugger Dave, Who create their models from scratch! there is no kit to the Hollywood Tourer, but HE has one.To me THAT is Art.Gerald Windgrove is in the same league. I personally see no difference in their abilities, they both create something from nothing.Guys like Mr.Biggs,Raul, and Minidreams, are the fellows I personally would LOVE to build like. They can take a kit and add their own twist to it and BAM! they got a show stopper! That is what I'd like to do.Not that I sure wouldn't mind bein like Gramps an Treehugger,But to ME, they are masters of their craft and deserve that title. It took them years to perfect their skills and deserve that respect.Don't get me wrong now, Its not like Mr.Biggs,Raul, and Minidreams started yesterday either,Its just that their creations come from a different seam in the lode.To me THEY are the most obtainable goals I could set for myself, and are more reasonable, considering the talents I don't have! BUT,I can learn to master their skills.Maybe not to their abilities, but well enough to suit myself.Treehugger an Gramps are in a league of their own an I won't even TRY to go there.I don't have that kind of ambition. But in a way, I guess we are all artists, why would they sell models at an Arts&Crafts store if we weren't? -
Well guys a while back I complained cause I thought a coupla hundred was too much to pay for some kits and it nearly started a riot!Just goes to show a fool and his money soon go separate ways, and in this tough economy some fools still have cash TO THROW AWAY!!!!THAT is just a ###### shame! I guess these comments will just start another one!

Welcome to the GREATEST site on the web,Robbo!,Yer gonna like it here, an we got us a few Ozzies here already, so we do hope you'll feel at home.Like Bill says, It's really cool to see stuff "come to life"at the press of a button.Sure makes a model more lifelike.you might wanna take a stroll down the treads to see if some of the guys do what you do.Maybe you CAN show Bill(Mr.Obsessive)how to make power windows! Again, Welcome to THE BEST site in ALL of modelcardom!!!
