Greg, Sorry I was so Broad in my remarks,I was not Implying that ALL vendor co. were bad, But then Ive never heard of Muth.We Dealt alot with Lear, Bing Ind.(Owend by Dave Bing,former Piston, an a REAL nice guy!)and Mexican Ind.Inc.,and many others. Out of all these co.,only Bing Ind. would come into the plant and investigate a problem.All the rest were content to take the loss of stock, an still have the nerve to charge G.M. for something that was delivered bad from THEM! Alot of these vendor co. thought they could get away with sending defective goods and chargeing for them.Till the bean counters started doing pre installation checks randomly and finding the defects! Now they (the vendors) have to GUARANTEE! 99% defect free parts!,or their contract will not be renewed!Things are gettin tougher to try rippin G.M. off.Too bad they dint start doin this a LONG time ago!

Guys After 32 yearsc with G.M. I hafta say SOMETIN about the Quality of the cars tocay. Most autoworkers ARE VERY PROUD of the product they build.They HAFTA do a good job or you won't buy another one!The problem is NOT with the product, it lies with the vendors who supply the wirering harnesses,Gage pods,I.P's (inst.panels) consoles,Window mechinsims and so on.If you have NEVER worked an assembly line job,you may not be able to relate, but it IS very tedious, boring,in fact mind numbing kind of work.I worked at least 20 different jobs in 32 years, from body shop(body ass.)to Final ass.(body shipping) They all had their downs no ups.NO assembly line job is a good job! some are just not as bad as others!BUT if they PAY you WELL, you WILL tolerate it! Now when you ask someone to do those same jobs for MINIMUM wages, you ARE gonna run into trouble!Those poor non-union workers got to take the same sh8t that we did, but they HAD to take it!Boss dint get the raise he wanted, so his people get sh8t from him caz he's mad! Company dint get as much as they wanted for this contract year from the Big 3, so they gotta lay off workers an the ones that are left gotta do even more!So they quit a punk min.wage job to go find ANOTHER punk min. wage job an whos left to teach the new workers how to build the wireing harness corectly?Can you see the problem?Money IS the only god the auto co. presidents,and Ceo's understand!They don't care about the product, just how much they'll get PAID this year! Tommy LaSorda, who is now a Chrysler Ceo, was my plant manager for 3 years! A G.M. plant manager!If we hit production quotas or had a perfect new car rollout, He gave us 1/18th scale model cars!While HE Got a NEW Sedan DeVille to drive for free for a year!It all comes down to paying the workers who build the PARTS that make up the WHOLE car a fair compensation for their work!With the way the auto comps are run now you aint seen nuthin yet.THE ONLY cars that might be worth what you pay for em WON'T be made in the U.S.! And I still doubt they'll be worth what you pay for em.As for Jap cars, Those workers are comin from a WHOLE different mindset.Their WHOLE society is gonna be strange to someone from the U.S.! So your not dealing with a corporate mindset, but a SOCIETY's mindset! the same with the Euro's. you know, they got more time off for vacations and national holidays than any other workforce?! AND they get paid pretty good!You guys are gonna be in for a real shock when the big 3 start introducing "NEW" energy efficient cars,Caz you ARE GONNA pay for them alright!Alot more! and they won't be all that much better than what we got now!Honest days pay for an honest days work is what made the Big 3 what they are, and they have totally forgotten their MOST VALUABLE ASSET,the AMERICAN WORKER!Thats My 2 cents, and I fully endorse this message!

ok Kev! looks nice! atsa awful purty color on that car!It's a MANLY shade o' blu. I likes it! Wasn't cheech's 64 the same shade with gray primer spots?Either way, it looks good!

Really not a bad job for a car built by a "comitee"! If G.M. did half as good a job they might not be in the hole they are now!Yours came out real nice.How many miles are under the wheels?Do like the color, and I'll give it a 2 thumbs up ana SNAP!

Sure looks good to me Tere, looks better than what G.M. did.Not too crazy bout the "new"camaro,I own a 69 sport coupe an the new one doesnt hold a candle to the old one as far as looks are concerened, at least not to me.

######'n this year me an my Big Brudder went to the annual Auto-Rama, at Cobo Hall,Downtown. One of the vendors there had a display with an old Mack truck that was all customed out like sompin Mr. BIGGS might do, chopped, sectioned and channeled,with some BIG A$$ 36's in it.I asked him how big did his company make them an he told me that they custom build the rims up to 48 in. the tires for them were custom made too,to fit the rims.The truck on display had almost 90,000 in tires/rims on it!What I'm gettin at is you might not be that crazy afterall! they sure can get you some 32's to fit yer hoopty if ya were to build it for real!Personally I likeses it,And I thin it would look pretty good in 1:1,so if some customizer sees it ....jus mebbe you could like get a patent on tha idea!Wha... you can never tell, this may be the start of a whole new genre of car! Ya know Mach, I've always thought that was such a pretty car, an I haven't seen too many build ups of it either.Yours came out nice! What kinda motivation did it have? A sleeper look ona 68/70 CHARGER? Them things looked fast even when they WEREN'T MOVIN!I don't know if ANYONE would fall for it in real life, I've seen 6 cylinder Chargers with glass packs punk guys down! Dont Get me wrong Marcos,PLEASE!, I've seen some of your builds and they're GREAT,Maybe a low optioned one or anothin but power one , BUT A SLEEPER? Naw, I think a guy would hafta be DEAD not to notice it was a Charger,an not beware!Oh, BTW in case you were wondering, Chargers(69's) are my FAVORITE cars of ALL TIME!!!!
