  1. I made a primary, tranny, and started on the sprockets for the chain. I also took the stock exhaust and made two pipes out of it. Then I cut the heck out of the tank and came up with this shape for it.
  2. The tail was shortened both in height and length to fit the body. For the tail wings, it just looked too corny using an airplane style wing, so I made some old top fuel style wings. I've also started on the front and rear suspension, along with new rear tires.
  3. Thanks guys. More progress, Davey finally makes his appearance. I wanted him to sit on the bike with bent knees, so out came the razor knife and styrene. One leg done. Now he fits much better. Started on a new back wheel and tire.
  4. Don't worry! You'll get better looking as I go.
  5. A Hawker Typhoon fuselage is grafted to the body. I needed to make the T-bucket a little taller to fit fuselage. I modified the tail wings to fit as the main wings on the body.
  6. The head is about the size of a billiard ball. Time to work on the bike. A new front end and a wide tire on the back. Oh the heck with it, lets build a new frame!
  7. Another entry for a cartoon car contest. I start this build with not a Davey kit, but a Digger kit. Lets cut Diggers head up a bit.I started by sectioning the helmet to skull size and lose the brim on it. I also cut his jaw of and extended it with some rod. This gave me the mouth shape I wanted. Now he needs a chin, one cartoon chin coming up! Next step, cut out the nose and remove the eyes and Digger becomes a skull. A comparison shot
  8. Follow if you will, the transformation of a Weird-Oh's digger kit into something somewhat unrecognizable from the original for a contest on another board We start this journey by narrowing the body about 1.5", while we're cutting, let's take the V8 and cut it in half. Now just to reassemble it as a straight eight and for good measure, lets make some intake manifolds and a pair of big honkin' blowers. The rear suspension is an unknown parts box find. The top to the body is fabbed up along with alternator, bracket, exhaust, fuel pump, distributor, oil lines, and some pulleys. Also what appears to be a roll cage is a hint at where I'm going with this build. No it is NOT a rollcage.
  9. From what I understand LED's don't draw enough power to make the blinker work. There is a part(s) you can add to draw more power and make the blinkers work. I'm sure with a little searching you can find what you need to fix your problem or you can swap out the Mechanical blinker with an electronic one. http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/led_signal_relay/web1006869
  10. That's a Tunnel Hull, and it is also the hardest turning vehicle on the planet, nothing can out turn a tunnel. Close to a hydro but not quite.
  11. Time for the drivetrain. The outboard is too long, so out came 1/4" and it fits just right now. The back of the Silhouette cut and reworked for the outboard. And the outboard on the hull.
  12. I filled all the wheel openings, made new lower nose pieces, filled the side indents, and attached the top center section. At this point I was down to a two piece body. The two body halves are now joined.
  13. I got my hands on another Silhouette and decided to put an idea I had while building the last one to use. First step was to cut the nose off of the bottom, then cut a section from the center. Side panels are cut so the center piece can go back in, but it will be raised, creating a tunnel. The same center section is now cut from the front top half of the body. The center section of the bottom is re installed in it's new position, the extension piece on the front is the Silhouette hood. The side panels are trimmed closer to their final shape. The front piece from the top body half is now extended back to the interior with some sheet styrene.
  14. I know a few people who should be dead by now, myself included. Who the heck told you this BS?
  15. I don't remember what the leopard print decals were from, they came with the kit from the owner. A pic of the engine. I tried everything to put the aircleaners on the carbs, there just isn't enough clearance under the hood for them. As it is, I shaved the base of the carbs and the intake just to get it to fit as you see it. This kit did not come with a figure, the owner did send a resin one for me to paint.
  16. This was a build for a member on another site. A few mods include the spikes on the dash, the front door speaker pods, the subs, rear door panel monitors, opened trunk, Ross Gibson engine, the Grim Reaper on the dash, complete with sickle and some others.
  17. Does she come with those great,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,eeerrrrrr,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ummmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, uhhh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, high powered headlights she was famous for?
  18. Nice taping job Jim. Here's some inspiration for you.
  19. What if you took the game of baseball, removed the pitcher with a machine that fires the ball at 300 MPH somewhat innacurately at a batter who now has to be blindfolded, with his ankles tied together. Then make the players wear womens lingerie and clown masks? Is it still a sport anyone would want to watch or participate in?
  20. I know a lot of people who listen to Iggy, but I can't think of one that likes the Bieber chick.
  21. Rat Rods are to the auto hobby what Justin Beiber is to music.
