  1. there are VERY few 50's cars that look good chopped in my opinion, so no. it wont be getting chopped. i tried the brush a little lacquer thinner trick over the shaved trim trick, well see how it worked when i re primer it tomorrow. pics: Nosed: Rear fenders shaved: Stance shot:
  2. started it yesterday, won it as a prize in the hobby show i entered my 48 ford in. so far ive lowered the front suspension about 4 scale inches, enough to get the fender lip level with the top of the wheel. the front end has been nosed and decked, and the fenders have been removed of some of their jewellery. colours will be a dark candy blue with a bright blue metal flake roof. gonna be using the kit wires and knockoffs. engine will be wired and plumbed. pics later tonight when i get home.

  9. working on a pair of revell 49 mercs, One with a bit of hot rod flair, one a straight up early 50's custom. the hot rod merc: Dupont Carmine red pearl base cleared, then hit with some clear with some red and white pearl (jacquards pearl ex) mixed in, then cleared again, then more pearl, then more clear. the clear is pro forms 4:1 2 part urethane. ill be using the chrome reverse and black walls on this car, with most likely the louvered hood. the custom is painted Model master diamond green/krylon hunter green done in a hirohata merc style 2 tone. this car will get either the sombreros or the single bar flipper caps from the 48 ford kit with WWW's and the smoothed hood. both cars will have the engines wired ill have pics soon likely.
