Hobbico - BANKRUPT!
ranma replied to niteowl7710's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wasn't there a company called Hostess that done this also? Another factor in this is how much they pay their CEO'S? As the company that made twikies gave their Ceo a multi million bonus while employee's took pay cut's ect. Yet Hostess was bought out and has returned to store shelves. along with wonder bread! The real issue is quit giving CEO's Multi million dollar bonus's ! -
Thanks to Revell for making the '85 Oldsmobile 442/FE3-x Kit. I have already built one as plain , So the second is going to be a brougham.

Is there anyone who cast the front end part for a 1/25 '87/88 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme??? ( grill/headlights/front bumper)

I have not seen any builds of Revell's '85 Oldsmobile 442/FE3-X kit on the forum so Here is one that I've built. I decided to do an olds 350 rocket tribute under the hood. This is just a plain Cutlass Supreme.

Tried to strip with paint thinner, I wasn't Going to even try to take it apart Mainly because the body and chassis are heat pined together, Most likely That was done by Jo Han.

'58- '65 Chevy "X" Frame headers
ranma replied to Greg Myers's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hey Greg, Chevrolet stopped using the X frame The last production year would be 1964 as the 65's went back to the standard box frame. -
The Brown's need These badly! A couch like Marty That lead them to the playoffs , A Better Offenceive line ,And Recevers Not to mention a better draft policy to Draft what would actually help the team. They also need a QB that's a veteran of the NFL For at least 5 years!

I did a little correcting of the body's Over Chrome use. I tried to remove the silver paint that was used on it, But it wouldn't budge. So I just painted red over the area's that needed to be body color. Even though the red color don't match it still look better than with having to much silver Chrome. Pictures are of what I painted over and before the re-paint.

Jada die cast makes 1/24 durastar roll backs, They can be found on ebay, Got one there for 34.90 total cost, and still factory sealed! Pictures of same one I bought off the net -
I do when I was young we seen a load of them going through Van Wert Ohio (early to mid 1970's But those were painted Orange. My Dad who worked at Harvester in Ft.Wayne said they were made for the oil fields in the middle east.

GM 's Idea makes the truck look like Ford's. Pontiac basically made a reboot of the Edsel Which actually looked better than the fore mentioned Edsel. Chevrolet fails with the '19 pickup though!

AMT 57 Chevy Pepper Shaker - Newest reissue
ranma replied to pharoah's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The Pepper shaker kit is almost the same as the Monogram 1/24 57 chevy, except in 1/25 scale. Compared these different copies of the 57 kit's Monogram Vs Pepper shaker Vs Pro shop copy (yellow car on box) Vs Revell' Convertible and sedan. -
AMT 57 Chevy Pepper Shaker - Newest reissue
ranma replied to pharoah's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
IMHO the AMT/ERTL Pro Shop (yellow car on box) Is one of the nicest 57 Chevy kit's to be made. Beware there are 2 different Pro shop 57 Chevrolet's , The very detailed kits and the pre -painted (pepper shaker) one. dEbay 57 Proshop chevy.htm -
