  1. I bought it at a Garage sale , It will soon be taken apart so the body can go in the paint stripper.
  2. I found this little gem at a Garage sale today, and yes that sticker is what I paid for it!
  3. Now I really want one! I wonder why Ertl Never made this as a kit, It would have been a big seller! Fire, dump, farm, box, tanker, Endless choices of work trucks!!!!
  4. The SMP '60 Chevrolet Impala Convertible's body side molding's were sanded off as were all the other details on the body. I replaced the sanded off side moldings with ones from a Revell '60 Impala.
  5. I bought this during the U.S.127 Garage sale here in Van Wert Ohio. The Cost of $20.00 I thought was a good price for what it was. It need's a few parts though as the engine ,firewall, are missing. I'll be clear gloss coating the body next. UPDATE: Body. ect on the chassis while it wait's for an engine and firewall.
  6. I was thinking the 65 would work but was not sure of the differences between the 65's engine and the 68's. Anyway how rare is the 68????
  7. What would be a good source for the engine? I'm going to repaint/rebuild this 68 that I found at a garage sale.
  8. The Ertl Blue printer International 4070 a became the 4070 B AKA Transtar II. The transtar II kit when first issued used the same suspension as the 4070 a. All Issues after had the walking beam suspension. The Transtar 4270 (actually a 4200) Was changed into the 4300, Which would be the easier kit to convert back as all that was changed besides the suspension, and engine was the hood. As the 4200 had a shorter hood, ertl just added the needed inches to make the 4300 hood. So Actually one could just shorten the hood from the 4300 kit to make the 4200, This works because the 4200 was still in production along with the 4270,4300,and the 4370 so the headlight area wouldn't have to be changed! I've included pictures of the 4070 a, the first issue of the transtar II and the second issue of the Tranny II
  9. The Hard top 442 has joined it's sister the 442 Convertible. Thank's to classicgas for his help with the missing parts to finish the hard top. The bumper is from a convertible kit, and makes the HT just a 442. Which the kit was the 442 w-30, I wanted to matching ht for the ragtop.
  10. I take it that there is little interest in this idea so if no one wants to do this I will have it removed from here after next sunday.
  11. I first built Bumblebee, and asked if anyone had tried to make Barricade. Some member's said I should build a copy of Barricade to go with Bumblebee. So here are Bumblebee and is nemesis Barricade.
  12. This copy was based on a 70 Impala I seen on the internet, I liked the interior color combo of red and white with the red body.
  13. that's what's great about that glue it makes it look like they are clear lensed.
  14. I didn't drill out the headlights, Instead I use Testers window making glue over the chrome headlight's to give it a glassy look. I used a sharpie marker in the turn signal's then the window making glue over that as well.
  15. Thank You sir, I like to build car's stock. I know some members don't care for box stock build's, And that's fine as I don't care for big rimmed small tired bagged car/pickup look. To each their own, I like the factory stock everyday look. Where as other member's like the bagged/low rider/customized look.
  16. I found them on e-bay, They spent 12 days in new york usps isc Got them yesterday. X"s mark's the decals I used, I forgot to put an X on the To Punish and Enslave.
  17. well then the roof from a 51 chevy, interior and chassis from the 50 olds ???
  18. Not really done as I'd like to add mirriors to the inside and drivers door sometime.
  19. Finally got the decals.
  20. Since the caddy is a 49 and revell wouldn't the revell 50 Olds supply alot of things such as roof, interior, chassis ect to make a close to stock cadillac???
  21. would using a amt 51 Chevy for the stock roof and maybe the interior, make it a more mild custom Caddy?
  22. I think t.m.resin used a old amt kit to make the wagon as most of the revell's 66 parts such as the front bumper, windshield, hood and interior parts will not fit,, But the chassis, engine ect will as do the tail lights and back bumper, I'm going to see if the windshield from a amt 67 Impala will fit.
  23. Working on the Impala wagon (t.m.resin) which will be displayed with other '66 Chevrolet's. I need to find a '66 Corvair for this set as well.
  24. Note: that most of the revell 66 Impala parts will not work on this resin wagon. The parts that do fit are the complete Chassis, suspession and engine, All that has to be trimmed is the top's of the rear wheel wells so the interior will fit unto the top of the chassis.
  25. Check On the workbench for suburban kit bash . Forum Member Randy Meyer is doing that 60 conversion that your asking about.
