  2. The RPM Model Club from Minnesota will be well represented - 13 members (at last count) making our annual trip. We love this show! Jim Kampmann
  3. Check out February of 2015! Nelson Carter's Super Chief Charger Funny Car. That's pretty cool! Jim Kampmann
  4. Not sure where you read that Todd, but here's what I found: 1/25 '67 Camaro™ SS™ 2 'n 1 Plastic Model Kit Product ID: 85-4936 Overview Skill level: 3 Scale: 1/25 Length: 7- 5/16" Width: 2-15/16" Height: 1-3/4" Parts: 130 Description Superior speed The SS badge on the 1967 didn't actually stand for 'superior speed' but with this Camaro's Big Block 396 c.i. engine, it could have! This massive engine delivered between 350 and 375 horsepower depending on specific model. The endless option available for the '67 Camaro appealed to buyers with nearly 35,000 SS models rolling off assembly lines and onto American roads. Kit features a detailed 396 c.i. engine with optional dual exhaust, stock and racing wheels, racing interior, roll bar and separate back seat. The Camaro® was introduced in September of 1966. The Camaro SS™ 396 was a special package, distinguished by its nose stripe and SS emblems. The 396 cubic inch engine was rated at 325 HP and had 410 lbs. of torque. The Camaro has gone head-to-head against the competition on the street and on the race track. It has won championships both in road racing and at the drag strip. Detailed 396 engine with optional dual exhaust 2 sets of wheels: stock and racing Racing interior roll bar and separate back seat Jim Kampmann

  6. There's a pretty good article on the car in the February 1970 issue of Hot Rod. Scans taken from Ebay, sorry! Jim Kampmann
  7. Slixx is working on a couple different sets of Grotheer sheets as I write this. I sent them lots of photos for reference. Jim Kampmann
  8. The scoop evolved over the 1970 season, as it was pro stock. As for the chrome bumper, it was used on the GT-1 car that raced in AHRA. Jim Kampmann
  9. You're right Casey, here's the instruction sheet. Jim
  10. Wow is that cool! Thanks for the post Casey! Jim Kampmann
  11. We were able to secure sponsorship from Rat Rod Magazine for a special award in 2014. Thanks also to the Winnipeg Model Car Club for their support and award! Attached is a flyer with all of the details! Hope to see you there! Thank you, Jim Kampmann NNL North 2014 2014 NNL North Flyer smaller.pdf
  12. Looks great Scott, thanks for the photos! Jim
  13. I would think the Testors one coat lacquer 'Diamond Dust' might be pretty close to the Argent color. OK Tim, where's that next update?! Jim
  14. Looks like one of the mail order houses that sells on Ebay has them in stock, so it won't be much longer! Jim Kampmann
  15. Thanks for the review and pics Tim - wish they were bigger! Can't wait for this one (or the race version to come!). Now I need to decide what color to paint the first one I purchase! Jim Kampmann
  16. Looks great Chuck! Can't wait to see the decals coming. If you believe that Mopar Missle photo is real though I have some swamp land in Florida for ya! Jim Kampmann
  17. Chuck - where did the body come from? It looks really great! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  18. Thanks Mark, should be fun!
  19. Round 2 has the instruction sheet on their website, looks like a straight reissue (the decals look kind of interesting though). http://www.round2models.com/files/instructions/amt806.pdf Jim Kampmann
  20. Very nicely done, thanks for sharing Steve!
  21. Wow, nicely done! A tribute to the late Larry Kopp. He was a great racer and nice guy too. Jim Kampmann
  22. Here's the Hemi car you're referring to. My guess is Ekstrand got a Sedan later in the year (hence this photo at Indy). You are correct, this car would have the single headlight grille, Hemi scoop, etc. The Hardtop would have been at Pomona in '64. Remember, the 426 Hemi became available in '64 with King Richard at Daytona (also a hardtop). Jim Kampmann
  23. Well here's Al and his '64 Hardtop. This was an original promotional photo from 1964. He also had a Sedan. Look on the web, it's not hard to find. If you still doubt that the real car ever existed, don't buy the model kit! Personally I'm ecstatic to have the kit back on the shelves again! Jim Kampmann
  24. I talked with Ed Sexton from Revell at the Milwaukee NNL this past Saturday and he told me the kit will be out in November. Jim Kampmann
  25. Hi Paul and Jesse! Nice to see you here! I was introduced to Jerry from Baltimore (I can't remember his last name - getting old sucks) around 2000 by Joe McHugh. He was printing the Flash Gordon decals - all drawn by him, printed with metallic ink on an Alps, both scales. He did some custom work too. I tried to get the Flash Gordon decals to sell, but it was difficult to say the least. Jerry had lots of health issues every time I talked to him. Like you Paul, I have hundreds of decals in three ring binders (Slixx, Jerry's stuff, Bad Habit decals, etc.) Like I always say, buy it when you see it as you may never see it again! Jim Kampmann
