  1. One week from today! Hope you can join us! Jim Kampmann
  2. Thanks Ed! Like you, I would have never thought in a million years we would see something like this! Can't wait to see them on the shelf! Jim Kampmann
  3. Bill, With all due respect - most, if not all of Speed City's stuff is copies of other people's resin (including mine). Scott's made plenty of money. The fact that Scott makes claims that his is the 'only accurate one available' is pure B.S. Bring on the plastic versions! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  4. Len, He told me the same thing at the Milwaukee NNL last weekend. It's an all new tool and to quote Ed "the '68 - '69 kit parts 'may' be interchangeable". He also mentioned another version of this kit would be stock. Thanks, Jim
  5. Hi Bill, To be honest, the model is a test shot they sent me a couple months ago. I wish I could build that fast! Thanks, Jim
  6. Hi Michael, Thanks for the kind words. There are some great reference photos of these cars out there; I just try to find the right colors and finishes to make the parts as realistic looking as possible. As for the engine, I had to grind a little bit of the back of the firewall to make it fit right. It's probably back a little bit too far as the gap between the fan and radiator isn't as tight as it should be. I have several cars I want to build from this kit, and I've learned a lot on what to do differently on the next one. Jim
  7. Hi Walter, I used Tamiya AS-15 Tan, it's a military color. Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  8. Thanks Mr. Boyd! Sure Nick, sorry I missed you - it was crowded at the NNL! Jim

  14. There were a couple 'famous' non-factory Plymouth Sedans - Sox and Martin converted their A990 Sedan. Pee Wee Wallace converted his too. Both decal sheets are available on the Internet... Jim Kampmann
  15. Hi Phil, Great thread! Actually, the Rat Roaster '32 Ford kit was all new tooling. There were trees 'copied' from the original Revell Roadster kit. Hard to believe, but true. I like your list. An up top would be fantastic! How about some dirt track Firestones and ET IIIs? Or Kidney beans! Or a SBC! (sorry Tim!) I can't believe that none of the Revell 32's issued ever had a quick change or beam front axle! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  16. I couldn't agree more - outstanding! Great work Dennis! Can't wait to see it in paint! Thanks for sharing... Jim Kampmann
