  1. Thanks for the comments, guys I appreciate it! Jim
  2. Hi Jeremy, Good catch! (finding the Weber on the chrome tree!). Here is the B/FX 1965 Comet I built from the Moebius test shot. There's a nice photo of this model in the new Contest Cars magazine (featured from the NNL North event). The 289 will come with both the Webers and manifold, as well as a two-four setup and carbs as part of the B/FX version. Thanks, Jim
  3. Looks great so far, John! Keep up the great work! Jim Kampmann
  4. Hi Russ, The Foose logo is on the outside of the tailgate. I sanded it down smooth, but what sometimes occurs with lacquer paint (and happened here) was a 'ghosting' effect of the logo that I couldn't polish out of the paint. Rather than repaint the tailgate, I thought it might be fun to put a 'Ford' logo there. The decal is from the Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang Funny Car kit. Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  5. Thanks everyone, I appreciate the positive comments! Best, Jim Kampmann
  6. Just finished mine in about three weeks. It was a fun build - paint is Tamiya Metallic Orange over a silver base. Thanks Revell! Jim Kampmann

  9. Nicely done, Walter! Love the 'day one' idea too! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  10. Thanks Mr. Boyd for the excellent review! My only complaint would be the orange plastic, but I can wait for the other releases too! Jim Kampmann
  11. Very cool Dave! Nicely built example of the race car too! Thanks, Jim
  12. Hi Len, Depending on how bad they're warped (and the type of resin they're made from), you have a couple of options. First, you could put the bodies in very warm tap water until the resin has softened slightly and then work the body back into shape. I would then put the body in very cold water to 'set' the body shape. Or, you could cut the sides (if they're straight) and re-glue them (with super glue). I've had some experience with this back in the old days when I used to have my resin business. Hope this helps! Jim Kampmann
  13. Looks great Walter! Love the stance, decals are well done!
  14. Thanks for sharing the construction photos! Can't wait to see it in paint! Jim
  15. It's great to see this fantastic build finished! Love it! Thanks for sharing it with us. Jim Kampmann
  16. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe that's a resin '65 Comet (Perry's) if memory serves. Bob has been displaying it for several months. Fooled me when I saw it at the Milwaukee NNL in April too! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  17. My money is it did not. Each 'Mule' car from Chrysler came with all of the A990 stuff. Jim
  18. Thanks John. I believe they were taken from the AMT '60 Ford Starliner kit. Jim Kampmann
  19. Here are a couple more shots I had taken a few days ago. Thanks again, everyone! I still need to add a rear license plate bracket and bumper guards (yes, Bill had them for whatever reason!). Jim Kampmann
  20. Bill, The cars were put together from a 'body in white' by Chrysler with A990 sedan parts. The Melrose Missile hardtop remained in California and was converted into the A/FX altered wheelbase car. There's plenty of information out there if you want to find it. Jim
  21. Steve is correct. Chrysler put four hardtops together for the '65 NHRA Winternationals. The Melrose Missile that Moebius produced is one of those cars. Refer to the excellent book titled "Maximum Performance" by James J. Schild. The other three cars were the Golden Commandos, the Ramchargers and Color Me Gone. Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  22. Glad you made it to the show Steve! Next year's show will be May 21, 2017. Thanks again! Jim Kampmann
  23. Congrats Steve on your awards! Hope you enjoyed the show! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
  24. Hi Steve, It's all on the flyer. We usually have about 400 models entered in the show, from all over the upper midwest including Canada. The swap meet is nice; right now we have 31 (8') tables sold. Lots of aftermarket stuff plus harder to find kits. A great raffle for the show too; stuff donated by Round 2 and Slixx decals. Probably looking at 40-50 kits in the raffle for door prizes. The Knights of Columbus Hall is about 10 minutes from the Mall of America. Hope to see you tomorrow, thanks for writing! Jim Kampmann
  25. Hi Bob! Of course I'll be there! Thanks, Jim Kampmann
