  1. Nice, nice, nice! A great replica stock build with added detail is my favorite kind of model, and this hits it right on the head.
  2. Boy would I jump on such a kit! We had a much-loved '64 Catalina wagon that is still part of family lore. I have found resin kits for '61 and '63 Bonneville wagons on eBay, but neither strikes me as easy to convert. IIRC both are from R&R.
  3. Right in your area is Mid-Carolina Modelers, who put on a show in February: Mid-Carolina Modelers of Salisbury Contact Allen Hilton (704) 856-1718 Slightly farther away, there's Foothills Plastic Pros in the Newton-Conover-Hickory area. They put on a show in September, if I recall correctly.
  4. Sharp! Any comments on the kit? It looks really good.
  5. That's a phenomenal build! Stunningly realistic even without adding anything, thanks to your strong technique.
  6. I'm interested in having several copies of a single part cast in resin--specifically LHD dashboards for the Aoshima '99 Miata kit. I have several copies of the kit, one of which came with LHD dash, so it's just a matter of having that dash duplicated. Are there casters who work economically on such a basis? Any recommendations? Or might someone already offer this part?
  7. Spectacular! I wouldn't have thought one could improve much on the 2000GT--but here's the evidence. Great execution!
  8. Some really thoughtful engineering in that kit. This will be fun to watch!
  9. Virtually any color is great on a Miura, particularly black or bright colors. The blue is gorgeous in that shot, but I think a dark blue Miura model would have to be posed and lit just right to show so well.
  10. Wow, very impressive! I've wondered how good those Entex kits are--now I want a few of them!
  11. Great choice of cover artist--Dan is one classy guy who packs a ton of talent.
  12. I recall seeing such a kit too--seems like it was in the $200 range when I spotted it on eBay several years ago. Wish I'd made a note of the info. IIRC it was styrene.
  13. Wow, great work--and wonderful to see these built up as a pair!
  14. That is so real that I can even imagine what it smells like. That thing has a thick coat of funk!
  15. Hot!! That's a great build and a deserving subject.

    Supra

Always liked these Supras. I built this kit some years ago and converted it to a shooting brake. Good luck with your build!
  17. Nice!! That interior is going to look great with the glass installed; it's just bright enough to still "pop" and goes perfectly with the body color.
  18. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
  19. Gulp. Well...good to know. What are the worst complaints?
  20. Any pix of the completed model? I just bought this kit and would love to see how the build turned out.
  21. Great color, and your paint looks very nice. This will be a tasty Z!
  22. I only now stumbled on this thread and am just flabbergasted. Work like this I can only compare to things like the scale Ferrari V12 that runs ( ) or the 1:6 Duesenberg that is being displayed at Amelia Island next month (http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2011/01/20/keep-repeating-this-isnt-real/). Mind-blowing stuff, Bill!
  23. That is one smooth ride. Great color and wheel choices!
