thanks man,
about the tires, i left them un sanded cause i wanted to show brand new tires, i have some Goodyear label decals i printed up to add to them to show that there unused but i lost them and haven't bothered to have some more printed,
i agree with you on the exhaust, when i built this i tried to do a perfect model of a restored bike, which means that everything is shinny, perfect paint, new tires, polished aluminum etc, if i had the chance i would build another more like the original, make the engine dirty, not use gloss on the frame and all sort of other stuff, back then they simply couldn't afford the man hours to polish everything and if i ever build one again its going to completely different.
the secret to decals is first the decals them self, the tamiya decals are printed by cargraf and are perfect, these are a few years old and your can't even tell, my only problem was the front cowl, the stripes, yellow circle and number are different decals, the 7 and yellow circle cracked, but they blended fine after a bit of work.
im sure some one else can give us a how to on the decals better than me, this is only the second thing i have done a build with a lot of decals
