  1. Work has also commenced on the Carrera, Here is the transkit: First I’m working on the ground effects, first off the original: Then replaced: Only problem is that they don’t fit…. So using a heat gun I bent them back in to shape, then I cut the two sections apart and refit them on to the body A few of the part where damaged, namely the rear clip and part of the side skirts, I shaped a piece of plastic to replace the damaged area and used filler to smooth it all out, here’s a pic before there all sanded: Thank you for looking and thanks again for your comments.
  2. Hello thank you for all the comments. First off progress on the 959, the front hood area has been finished: In the interior everything is basic black, all the carpet has been done with flocking, seatbelts have been added and a few extra switches on the dash/centercouncil. The front seats have not yet been added, but there in the works, planning a few modifications to them. To make the car more “racy” I have added a roll bar, it fallows the B post to kinda hide its self later I’ll paint it black. Also the hood has been carbon fibered but no pictures yet. Thanks for looking and again thanks for the comments.
  3. Beautiful paint
  4. Thats quite a Car, certainly would attract attention wherever it goes.
  5. Hello, I'd like to build all of the Porshe super cars, the 959, the 911 GT1 Straßenversion, and the Carrera GT. I also like the Gemballa cars, except only the Carrerea is a actual Gemballa car, so I'm making up this one. Its going to be part of a personal group build, I have the transkit for the Tamiya Carrera kit, but the other two I'm just going out on a whim, in theory this is possible Gemballa exited before the 959 came in to production. Starting with the 959,to be a Gemballa it needs a huge scoop on the roof, and other tacky looking bolt on's The kit didn't have any sort of trunk detail, so the hood was cut off then bellow detailed, I strayed from the usual, and designed the area like a race car, acting as this was one of the things Gemballa worked on. The kits engine is mostly hidden so its basicly stock, the fiberglass piece (red thing) on top of the engine was redone to have the texture of glassfiber, some wires were added, and fuel rails where added along with a few bits and pices of photoeched. And here's the overal shot For the other car so far i have only worked on the Carrera, the trans kit isn't perfect, Thanks for looking and your coments are apprecated

    GM studio

hello thanks again for the coments. the mg has been sent away, and were futher going throught the place, to our surpise some of the other back buildings are still full. i'm guseing they were storage, and the owners weren't wroyed about saving that stuff, so far we've found a 55 chevy fiberglass body half way through modifications, a 32 sedan choped up to a drag car and arovette, Now back to reality I wasn't overall happy wiht the color it seamed to bright so re weathered everthing, i think it looks better, i think half of my probelm is the lighting and camera. the building has its own lighting, so i turn of all lights and take the pics at night, so its more acurate light, in real life its perfet, but now i think it looks good on camera. also i added the duct work to cary machine shaveings away, some signs, and a scalfoding for a airconditoner. the quality isn't the best the darker i get the shots the less clear thy pictures get. thanks guys.

thanks eveyone. the model is a MG-TC kit from monogram. its part of the metal master series hence the body, the planed paint is black fenders, a british raceing green body, and the hood will stay polished. also, any advise on this would be helpful. i'm not toaly sure what to contune on wiht, i have some duct work made, some tables, and some pipes to go in but besides that i'm not sure what else to add. thanks.

hello. you may have seen this in some of my other post but heres the ofical one. its only about hafe done, still got a bunch to do but heres some pics. if you care i did a bit of a story to go along with it. Back in the early 50’s a small prototype, engineering, and R and D shop was built in East Detroit. Quickly as the demand for outrageous cars grew, they became GM’s main outside builder. Business was outstanding and soon the small building grew to a large complex. As the years went on the workload decreased putting the company to one single warehouse adjoined to the original shop. The company stayed at this pace for years, creating some of the most known concepts yet never receiving any credit. The dedicated workers never had a problem with this they had become the most profitable machine shop in the country. Then something happened, the computer. Business was down by the end of the month. The final nail in the coffin was china. With GM working more and more conjoined with foreign agencies. The shop was near foreclosure, and in a last grasp for survival they started restoring cars. Unfortunately the company was gone by 1993, leaving a hallowed out building behind, striped of almost all machines, tool, and cars. The building was laid to rest hoping for best yet expecting the worst. The year now is 2012, and the building has been brought back to life. Discovered by the city officials the building was found exactly as left, just a bit of dust and mild graffiti. Upon inspection more and more things had been left, most notable was the last project they ever worked on a MG-TC, just barely touched the frame was found completed in the old shop with the original body in the main shop. Also notable were the rafters, or more so what they contained, with GM deserting them they hadn’t paid much heed to GM destruction policy of any prototype information. As such numerous full sized original drawings have been left the most notable still hanging on the wall; it is suspected that this was the next car they would build before GM dropped out. An amazing build it appears that they would have had a potential super car if completed. Other drawings lying around were a new sport station wagon, and a 911 look alike. Yet the most amazing artifact lays carelessly hung on the wall. A original 53 corvette body, but not just a normal one, a prototype for a modern age one, GM considered to drop the stingray and go back to original and this shop was originally set to build it, the only physical modifications are a new rear fender and a smoothed hood, but the markings across the body are extremely significant, showing the planed modifications, resulting in probably a beautiful car. The cars and documents are now being sent to the Hennery Ford museum for freshing up and then being put on display. The MG is being sent across seas to be assembled then sent to the original owner thanks for looking, your coments aprecated

  24. hello not much progress its finnals but got some done. baddire, ingition box, and some other box was wired, (wow, i need to dust) and i sectioned the gas tank, the kit comes with a huge one, so i took about half a centmeter out but its still huge. and here is the bottom, i had to cut it down to fit in the new tank, then added welds to cover up the rought cuts. thanks for looking and any input is greatly appreceated
