hello everyone. i made a fiber glass fender. if you rember i showded this pic well it wasn't to add more detail i was trying to make a new fender, which tunded out ok, its by no means perfect but i already got another 2 made, i'm kinda cheap so i tryed to make it a difrent way, istead of resin i used non water solable wood glue, and instead of fiberglass i used toliet paper. thanks -

hello, and thanks man bit of stuff done, its got a working kick stand now, not sure why it needs it but it's kinda fun. here is it down, and up, also got the air box in there right now, still needs some bolts. got the baddery started hopfuly the owners japenes cause i sure can't read that. any way its stock, with some photoeched that will concet to wires later. with refrence i went to the manga cousin the honda monkey, though i got no refrence because they use a difrent electrical harnes i did find these crazy modifyed ones. kinda fun and what im going for, except these are all aftermarket, the plan behind mine is that with sales plumting in america honda made a more sporty verson, hopeing to brand it as a hight performace bike, the changed the stance bored out the engine, added a oil cooler, and added funky colors wiht stickers, i dont think this would ever happen but its decent story to explane this thing, heres one of the moded ones. and the oil cooler that i'm working on now. thanks for looking and your coments are aprecateded. -

thanks man, hopefuly there will be more bikes here, but we seam pretty set on cars, makes sense anyway this is model cars mag form. heres some progress, i did a ton on the rear swing arm, almost everything bolts together, and the drum break works, it s not tolaty done yet, still need to do carbon fiber on the chain gard, and cut down some bolts. and heres the break its not actrat at all the story is that honda came up wiht a new expermental drum break instead of replacing it with disk, also started on the front end, only thing worth showing is the caliper so far a question for eveyone, i need any refrence, there are no hayenes manuals or similar product, and i don't know much about bikes electircal in the first place any pics will help thanks for looking and what ya think -

Hello, there haven’t been any pics of one built yet so here’s mine, I got this as a unopened kit that my uncle bought new way back when. I regret building it I should of waited till I was more skilled but whatever, on the actual kit The fit sucks seriously, But the detail is amazing for that time, weld lines, rivets, and separate molded gages, not to mention everything opening, the only problem is all the sink holes on the kit, you end up losing detail just to sand away the problem spots. The real down fall is the accuracy, it all looks right in scale but get a ruler out and a lot of it is very inaccurate, endless you’re a rivet counter this doesn’t matter much I guess. Here’s my build eventually I gave up on accuracy and decided it would be something a guy built in the garage just similar to the real one, (its still not totaly finshed but i just couldn't get some of the body good engough for paint) O ya also my kit was missing some suspension pieces, not actually gone just not fully molded but this is hopefully an isolated case -
hello thanks guys for the input, i re drew it yesterday, sorry artemis i ended up drawing it before you posted, but it kinda looks like yours. and also i don't mind at all about hijackeing the thread i would love to see any body doing a new take on a old clasic. thanks for looking

hello, this isn't my normal meduim but i had a idea i wanted to try, what if dusenberg had never closed their door, i think they would of fallowed the same path as bugati, makeing crazy fast cars, but with all the hertige muscle cars dusenberg when back to the 30's no rims yet, i'm still working on those tyring to do a bbs mixed with wire weals (i know the signuture looks stupid but it appears more profaessinal ) thanks for any input

Hello I posted anther pro mod a few days ago and you all seemed to like it. Here’s the original topic: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54552 So any ways here’s the other I was talking about, it was done right after the Chevy, started with a flash point body, and a ross Gibson engine. I scratch built a frame and a lot of the other stuff and a few parts were scavenged from some other kits. In the last post I said I wasn’t very happy with it, well I kind of like this one. The craftsmanship isn’t better but I tried a lot of new things, in retrospect I probably wasn’t ready for any of this type of building but it turned out decent, eventually I got a 2nd place in one of the local contest. Sorry it’s a bit dusty and damaged, and no frame, sorry for the yellow wires they atach to the parachut when the body is on. Thanks for looking.

very cool but what amazes me is how fast you can put out these models even with so many mods, it seemes that you alway have a few progets going on at the same time.
-
well thanks guys, its 1/24 scale, what i think is wrong is all the tubing and such, alot of it is way out of scale and it looks to crowded, also the my body work sucks, and the paint sucks, but thanks any way it reley means a lot, i got another pro mod i could show if you guys want.

just found this thread and the work you all have done is great, heres a few of mine. (sorry not a close up) (again not a close up,sorry) Thansk

well here goes nothing, this was the first kit i did any real detailing on it, and it went out of hand i ended up spending 4 months on her. didn't even turn out that nice but i learned a lot, the usual stuff, i rebuilt the roll cage, wired stuff, some crapy body work ect. if you can't tell im not that proud of this, but hopefuly some one will learn from my mistakes, (sorry for the dust its been siting around for a while) thanks for looking and please don't critisise it for all its worth.

hello again. here are the pics of the real ride hight, you will also notice the paint and engine bolted in. "it may be just a lawn mower engine but i can still make it look cool" Also theres a little tool box, i made it open then added a strap, i think in real life it threaded on but this looks cooler, then i tryed to texture it like cheap plastic cast, just for fun i added a few things for the inside. and on the bike closed up (just turn the top lach and it opens up) thanks for looking -

hello thanks eveyone, the welds are tamiya 2 part puddy, if you guys want i can do a little how to on it in the next post anyways i got the stance figured out, if you have ever seen one of these you know they have a very harly like look, well i like jappens racers, so i tryed to lay it on the ground, the front tires will go out a bit more, about a extra inch, i modifyed the front tube(sorry don't know whats its called) to get a lower look. i have the frame painted and the engine mounted but haven't got pics yet, i'll try to get them on later tonight. thanks -

To weather or not, tis is the question.
Hippie replied to Hippie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
thanks for the input, i did some more recurch and figured out that drag/mucle cars sell for the most. From peronal expernce I know people want the forien race cars, not people in america but over seas there huguly popular some of the master builder sell things for several grand, i don't have half there skill but we can all hope anways thanks again. -

thanks, got a bit done, honestly most of my time has been spent on trying to find refrence or manuals. anyways i did the frame and added some welds. and here is the fiber glass done turned out decient i think and the same thing but with black resion, figure on the real one this is kinda visable so they would tint it black thanks for looking and your coments are welcome. -
To weather or not, that is the question. I’m sure you’re looking for the usual debate about rust, but this is not so, I’m trying to figure out weathering on a race car. The slight flat finish, the grimy brake dust, soot coming from the vents, the tires worn down, etc. I know this is all about personal opinion but I need a group majority, see I kinda I’m in the need of money, I figure I can build and sell model, I’ve done it in the past but always with a buyer lined up instead I’m planning on selling on eBay, now I’m trying to figure out what the people want, manly I’ll be building foreign race cars, because they lend them self to so much detail. But would more people bid on a dirty car, or a mint one. There’s this one on eBay right now kinda like my build quality. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PRO-BUILT-1-32-SCALE-JAGUAR-XKR-GT-3-/120858890015 As you can see there’s no interest, maybe just because too many people have seen it but would it be more popular dusty instead of perfect paint. Thanks for your thoughts it means a lot.

Hippie replied to Hippie's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Thanks guys, but i don't think it matters i'm a kid , I except the same critisim and coments as adults. There has been a bit of progress, nothing substanial but here it goes: On the engine got the starter mounted, gave the bolts another coat, and finnshed the cluch/chain cover, it's not permanitly atached yet, it gets added on in the end. also got a fiber glass fender in the works, trying to lighten it up as much as possable for that tiny engine. ( it looks a lot better know this was the first attemp, already tried again with sucesses) And then work on the frame dosen't reley look like much just the usual stuff. later comes welds. I also came to find out that the gas tanks actualy biger then the engine. and what do you guys think, kick stand or no kick stand, im trying for a very sporty bike, i have a photo eched chain in the works so im probly going to display it with the weal of so it will need some sort of raceing stand, but the question is, leave the kick stand on or remove it. any way, all of your coments are apreceated and thanks for looking
