Man, these are some incredible builds! All we could make were houses and such when I was growing up(I'm almost 50). I didn't know lego had come this far. Impressive!

Has anyone tried this? I'm trying to match a color and the 2 colors that will get me close, one is Testors and the other is Model Master. I know that they are both enamel and made by Testors, but Testors thinner says it is a "universal" which leads me to think they might not mix well together. I welcome any input.

Wow, looks like they have the Samsonite goriila working shipping! Nice salvage job. I just recently bought a LoneStar and I am pleased with it. After seeing the mock-up, the Prostar just went to the top of my to-get list(along with the Great Dane trailer).

I recently got started building again after a 15 year hiatus. I saw the Lonestar on a racing tv show and I loved it and said that is what I want to build. So I found one on the 'bay for $53 including shipping shortly before Christmas. Now I have to decide what trailer I would like for it. I found a pic from a company out of New Jersey that I really like their paint scheme. I know the sideskirts on the LoneStar kit are made differently from the tractor in the pics. How hard would it be to scratchbuild the fuel tank and boxstep? I've not done a lot of scratchbuilding for models, but I have scratchbuilt a few items for my model railroad. Any advice and help will be greatly appreciated. Also, is there anyone who lives in NJ and could possibly get a few more shots of it, like the front, left side and backend of the trailer for a little more detail? Thanks again.

Fantastic job on the Lonestar and the trailer! What brand of paint and color did you use for the green? I have a '63 Chevy Stepside in the works and that is the color I have in mind for it. Thanks
